    Abstract
Perfect metamaterial absorbers (PMAs) are crucial for sensing, energy harvesting, cloaking, and solar cell, as these can perfectly absorb electromagnetic waves in the broad range of electromagnetic spectra. Due to these remarkable applications, PMAs have extensively attracted the attention of numerous researchers. However, to date, narrow- and wide-band absorbers have been investigated, recently wideband absorption is the primary concern of electromagnetic communities. In this paper, absorption features of the metasurface-based absorber are analyzed. The PMA is made of three layers–a top metasurface fabricated over silicon dioxide (SiO2) with a backside coated with a thin layer of silver...

    Abstract
Single phase Ca-substituted W-type hexaferrites Sr1-xCaxZn2Fe16O27(x = 0.00(0.25)1.00) have successfully been synthesized by using sol–gel self-combustion at 1300°C. These hexaferrites are investigated by x-ray difrractometry (XRD), scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, vibrating sample magnetometry, and vector network analysis. XRD analysis confirms the formation of a single W-type hexaferrites phase. The DC electrical resistivity increases with incrementing Ca contents. The morphology of all the hexaferrites shows hexagonal platelet-like structure. The prepared ferrites depict soft magnetic nature with high saturation...

In this work, Sr-substituted samples of single-phase spinel monoferrites with chemical formula Ba1-xSrxFe2O4 (x = 0.00, 0.33, 0.67, 1.00) were synthesized using sol-gel auto-combustion method. In order to confirm the single-phase formation of these samples, a sample (x = 0.00) was chosen for heat treatment at different temperatures (100, 300, 400, 600 and 700°C) for 4 h. The heat treated sample was then investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis and results showed that a single-phase sample can be successfully synthesized at a temperature of 600°C, which is much lower than that reported in earlier literature for synthesis of same structured samples. All the synthesized samples were...

Adsorption isotherms are constructed to determine the amount of polymers adsorbed on the surface of graphene by the spectroscopic analysis. Lugalvan BNO12 has been found to be adsorbed in higher amounts on the graphene surface compared to the Triton X series polymers. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy investigations...

    Abstract
There has been a growing demand for materials with superior absorption capabilities, such as strong absorbing capacity, thin thickness, and light weight, to solve challenges related to EM radiation pollution. While the majority of the research is focused on optimizing material compositions, component microstructure and absorber structure are also critical factors for improving microwave absorption performance. In this research, we show how the microstructure of components and absorber design may increase dissipation features. Solvothermal and hydrothermal methods were utilized for synthesizing mesoporous CuS micro-particles with a 3D hierarchical structure as a dielectric component and...

    Abstract
Rare earths (REs) play a key role in distorting spinel structure by creating some defects at the lattice sites and make them suitable for magnetodielectric applications. In the present study, the nanoferrites of CuRE0.02Fe1.98O4, where REs = Y3+, Yb3+, Gd3+, were prepared using one step sol–gel method. The prepared samples are copper ferrite (CFO), yttrium doped copper ferrite (Y-CFO), ytterbium doped copper ferrite (Yb-CFO) and gadolinium doped copper ferrite (Gd-CFO), respectively. The single-phase structure of all the REs doped nanoferrites was determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The porosity, agglomerations and grain size of the REs doped copper ferrite were examined using...

    Abstract
In present research six samples of nano X-type hexagonal ferrites with general formula SrBaMg2-xCoxDyyFe28-yO46 (x = 0–1; y = 0–0.1 with step size of 0.2 and 0.02, respectively) were synthesized by sol–gel technique. The temperature required for the phase formation of these materials was estimated using thermogravimetric analysis. X-ray diffraction patterns revealed the pure phase of the prepared materials up to the doping concentration of x = 0.4, y = 0.04 along with the second phase for higher doping concentration. The secondary phase appeared due to the solubility limit of higher ionic radius Dy3+ ions into the hexagonal lattice. The mean crystalline size decreased from 29 to 18 nm while...

    Abstract
Multiband absorption is the interest of the microwave communities due to several applications in sensing, filtering, and stealth. Usually, the stacking of metal and dielectric multilayered structures form a multiband absorber which makes the device bulky and costly. In this paper, we investigate a multiband absorber based on a single-layered fractal metasurface for the 5G applications. The unit cell of the fractal metasurface is comprised of six ring-shaped symmetric split-ring resonators (SRRs) connected back-to-back with each other. The absorptivity is investigated in the 5G microwave regime (22–36 GHz) for various obliquities at different substrate thicknesses. Simulation results show...
