    Abstract
In this research, formation of aluminide/silicide diffusion coatings on γ -TiAl[Ti-48Al-2Nb-2Cr (at.%)] alloy using gasphase diffusion pack cementation process has been investigated. The application of powder mixtures with various chemical compositions in the pack cementation process performed at 1000°C for 6 hours in order to achieve simultaneous diffusion of Al and Si, showed that the composition of the powder mixture could have a significant effect on the structure and thickness of the aluminide/silicide coatings. The identification and analysis of aluminide/silicide microstructures formed as a result of simultaneous diffusion of Al and Si, which was comprehensively and qualitatively done...

    Abstract
Anti-reflection and self-cleaning coatings on the glass substrate are used to improve the performance of solar systems. TiO2 are one of the most used semiconductors for this application. In this research meso-porous TiO2 coatings (that synthesized by the sol-gel process) with the various extent of porosity (using different concentrations of Pluronic F127, as pore-forming agent) have been investigated. The coating's thickness and porosity and anti-reflective properties were studied by FE-SEM and UV/VIS spectrometer (transmission spectra test), respectively. It was found that the use of F127 leads to the formation of pores smaller than 30 nm and increases the surface roughness from 1.5 (for...

Formation of terahertz superconducting photonic devices based on patterned irradiation

    Abstract
A high-temperature superconductor slab irradiated by a desired pattern of light is proposed to behave as a completely controllable 2-D photonic media that could be applied in a wide range of photonic devices. In this case, the permittivity spatial variation, which is fundamentally required in many photonic devices, can be achieved by means of the selective variation of cooper-pair density under patterned irradiation. The process of photo-effect in superconductors is the proposed mechanism for the deformation of the spatial distribution of cooper-pair density and for the creation of nonuniform permittivity. In this perspective, the effects of nonuniform photon irradiation on the density of...
