    Abstract
Nickel oxide (NiOx) is a promising hole transport material in inverted organic-inorganic metal halide perovskite solar cells. However, its low intrinsic conductivity hinders its further improvement in device performance. Here, we employ a trimercapto-s-triazine trisodium salt (TTTS) as a chelating agent of Ni2+ in the NiOx layer to improve its conductivity. Due to the electron-deficient triazine ring, the TTTS complexes with Ni2+ in NiOx via a strong Ni2+-N coordination bond and increases the ratio of Ni3+:Ni2+. The increased Ni3+ concentration adjusts the band structure of NiOx, thus enhancing hole density and mobility, eventually improving the intrinsic conductivity of NiOx. As a result,...

    Abstract
The present research deals with bifurcation and vibration responses of a composite truncated conical shell with embedded single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) subjected to an external pressure and axial compression simultaneously. The distribution of reinforcements through the thickness of the shell is assumed to be either uniform or functionally graded. The equations of motion are established using Green-Lagrange type nonlinear kinematics within the framework of Novozhilov nonlinear shell theory. Linear membrane prebuckling analysis is conducted to extract the prebuckling deformations. The stability equations are derived by applying the adjacent equilibrium criterion to the prebuckling...

    Abstract
The aeroelastic flutter characteristics of a functionally graded carbon nanotube reinforced composite (FG-CNTRC) truncated conical shell under simultaneous actions of a hydrostatic pressure and yawed supersonic airflow are scrutinized. The nonlinearity in geometry of the conical shell is considered in Green–Lagrange sense and the model is derived according to the Novozhilov nonlinear shell theory. The aerodynamic pressure is modeled based on the quasi-steady Krumhaar's modified supersonic piston theory by considering the effect of the panel curvature and flow yaw angle. Parametric studies are conducted to investigate the effects of boundary conditions, semi-vertex angle, distribution and...

    Abstract
A discussion regarding speech accents will be given while describing a set of statistical signal processing methods for the modeling, analysis, synthesis, and morphing of English language accents. Accent morphing deals with the changing of the accent of a speech to a different accent. Accent itself is a distinctive pattern of pronunciation of speech within a community of people who belong to a national, geographic, or socioeconomic grouping. Then, the signal processing methodology for speech accent processing will be reviewed while the concept of an accent profile has been presented

Pricing and inventory management for mixed bundled products with stochastic demand

    , Article Journal of Revenue and Pricing Management ; Volume 19, Issue 6 , 2020 , Pages 401-410 Talebian, M ; Li, Z ; Lu, Q ; Sharif University of Technology
    Palgrave Macmillan  2020
    Abstract
We analyse optimal pricing for a retailer that sells two products using a mixed price bundling strategy. We consider substitutable products, where there is a disutility associated with jointly consuming both products. Mixed price bundling implies that customers can freely choose to buy one of the two products, both of them, or neither of them. The retailer determines the price of each product when it is sold separately, the bundle discount if these two products are sold in a bundle, and the inventory levels for each product. We first derive the optimal price and bundle discount when the store traffic is deterministic. Our results show that the mixed bundling strategy is the most beneficial...

    Abstract
In this research, carbon nanotube decorated with Cu nanoparticles (CNT/Cu) was synthesized by a new solvothermal process. Solvothermal treatment of CuSO4 and NaOH was completed in ethanol containing ultrasonically dispersed CNTs at 160 °C for 3 h. In the solvothermal process, Cu nanoparticles were heterogeneously deposited on the surface of COOH-functionalized CNTs through the reduction of the Cu+2 ions. Cu nanoparticles with the size of ≈8 nm on CNTs (and some in the solution) and strong bonding between Cu and CNT were obtained by the used process. Microstructural characterization revealed that the solvothermal method is an appropriate method for producing homogenous CNT/Cu nanostructure....

    Abstract
Cellulose nanowhiskers (CNWs) prepared via TEMPO mediated oxidation are used as biodegradable filler in an epoxy matrix. Since CNWs are hydrophilic and epoxy is hydrophobic, amphiphilic block copolymer surfactants are employed to improve the interactions between the filler and the matrix. The surfactants used are Pluronics, a family of triblock copolymers containing two poly(ethylene oxide) blocks and one poly(propylene oxide) block. In this study, Pluronic L61 and L121 with molecular weight of 2000 and 4400 g/mol and hydrophilic to lipophilic balance of 3 and 1 respectively, are used and their effect on the dispersion of CNWs in epoxy is discussed. The hydrophilic tails of Pluronics...
