    , Article Scientia Iranica ; Volume 16, Issue 2 C , 2009 , Pages 94-98 ; 10263098 (ISSN) Azizi, N ; Ebrahimi, F ; Saidi, M. R ; Sharif University of Technology
    2009
    Abstract
A mild and practically-convenient one-pot procedure for the direct Mannich reaction has been developed using a condensation of amines, aldehydes and unmodified ketones under solvent free conditions in the presence of Znl 2 with good to excellent yields. The present methodology offers several advantages, such as excellent yields, simple procedures, short reaction times and milder conditions with very small amounts of catalyst. Furthermore, it is the first time that the catalytic activity of several catalysts under solvent free conditions has been studied. It was found that both the diastereoselectivity and the rate of reaction were improved with various Lewis acids and metal oxides. However,...

    Springer  2020
    Abstract
This is the first research on the nonlinear frequency analysis of a multi-scale hybrid nanocomposite (MHC) disk (MHCD) resting on an elastic foundation subjected to nonlinear temperature gradient and mechanical loading is investigated. The matrix material is reinforced with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) or carbon fibers (CF) at the nano- or macroscale, respectively. We present a modified Halpin–Tsai model to predict the effective properties of the MHCD. The displacement–strain of nonlinear vibration of multi-scale laminated disk via third-order shear deformation theory (TSDT) and using Von Karman nonlinear shell theory is obtained. Hamilton’s principle is employed to establish the governing...

    2008
    Abstract
A simple catalyst LiClO4/Et3N has been developed and demonstrated to efficiently catalyze Michael addition reactions of active methylene compounds to conjugated ketones, nitriles, esters and nitroalkenes with remarkably high yields and in short reaction time. The Michael addition to nitroalkenes and α,β-unsaturated ketones proceeds quantitatively in the usual way, giving the monoaddition product. © 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved

    Abstract
This is the first research on the frequency analysis of a graphene nanoplatelet composite (GPLRC) microdisk in the framework of a numerical-based generalized differential quadrature method. The stresses and strains are obtained using the higher-order shear deformable theory. Rule of mixture is employed to obtain varying mass density, thermal expansion, and Poisson’s ratio, while module of elasticity is computed by modified Halpin–Tsai model. Governing equations and boundary conditions of the GPLRC microdisk covered with piezoelectric layer are obtained by implementing Hamilton’s principle. Regarding perfect bonding between the piezoelectric layer and core, the compatibility conditions are...

    Abstract
This is the first research on the free vibration analysis of functionally graded graphene platelets reinforced composite (FG-GPLRC) viscoelastic annular plate resting on the visco-Pasternak foundation and subjected to the nonlinear temperature gradient and mechanical loading within the framework of higher-order shear deformation theory (HSDT). Hamilton's principle is employed to establish governing equations within the framework of HSDT. In this paper, viscoelastic properties are modeled according to Kelvin-Voigt viscoelasticity. The deflection as the function of time can be solved by the fourth-order Runge-Kutta numerical method. Generalized differential quadrature method (GDQM) is applied...

Also, the current microstructure is coupled with a piezoelectric actuator (PIAC). The extended form of Halpin–Tsai micromechanics is used to acquire the elasticity of the structure, whereas the variation of thermal expansion, Poisson’s ratio, and density through the thickness direction is determined by the rule of mixtures. Hamilton’s principle is implemented to establish governing equations and associated boundary conditions of the GPLRC microdisk joint with PIAC. The compatibility conditions are satisfied by...

    Abstract
In this study, a cylindrical microshell stability reinforced by graphene nanoplatelets is investigated while an axial load is applied uniformly. In addition, viscoelastic foundation covers the composite nanostructure. Therefore, the impacts of the small scale parameter are studied while nonlocal strain gradient theory (NSGT) is considered. The present research deals for the first time with the consideration of viscoelastic, strain–stress size-dependent parameters along with taking into account of various boundary conditions (BCs), especially C-F ones put into effect on the proposed theory. The governing equations (G.Eqs) and BCs have been obtained utilizing energy method and solved with...

The thermodynamic equations of the laminated cylindrical nanoshell are based on first-order shear deformation theory, and generalized differential quadrature element method is implemented to solve these equations and obtain natural frequency and critical temperature of the presented model. The results show that by considering C–F boundary conditions and every even layers’ number, in lower value of length scale parameter, by increasing the length scale parameter, the frequency of the structure...
