    Enhanced Oil Recovery from carbonate reservoirs is a major challenge especially in naturally fractured formations where spontaneous imbibition is a main driving force. The Low Salinity Water Injection (LSWI) method has been suggested as one of the promising methods for enhanced oil recovery. However, the literature suggests that LSWI method, due to high dependence on rock mineralogy, injected and formation water salt concentration, and complexity of reactions is not a well-established technology in oil recovery from carbonate reservoirs.     Abstract
    A low voltage current mode sample and hold (S/H) in 0.18μm technology with 1.5v supply voltage is presented. This S/H has 12-bit linearity, i.e., gain and nonlinearity errors of S/H are less than 0.02μA for 100uA input current. In order to estimate MCT according to Superpave volumetric mix design procedure, a temperature-viscosity relationship for the binder should be developed using ASTM D2493. This approach provides reasonable temperatures for unmodified binders which are Newtonian fluids at high temperatures and their viscosity is independent of shear rate.     Abstract
    In this article, transverse vibration of an Euler-Bernoulli beam carrying a series of traveling masses is analyzed. A semi-analytical approach based on eigenfunction expansion method is employed to achieve the dynamic response of the beam. The inertia of the traveling masses changes the fundamental period of the base beam. Therefore, a comprehensive parametric survey is required to reveal the resonance velocity of the traversing inertial loads. Capability of the OPSEM in assessing the free vibration frequencies and mode shapes of an Euler-Bernoulli beam with varying thickness is discussed.
