    Abstract
    Hydrocarbon reservoirs may be classified on the basis of their drive mechanisms. In the reservoirs adjoined by water aquifers, waterdrive may be the primary production mechanism. The invasion of reservoir rock by aquifer water may have a significant impact on reservoir performance. Therefore, water influx into hydrocarbon reservoirs must be predicted accurately as a function of time, pressure history at the reservoir/aquifer interface, reservoir/aquifer size ratio, and aquifer characteristics.To forecast the performance in a waterdrive reservoir, an aquifer model simulating the fluid flow in the aquifer and flow from the aquifer into the reservoir is needed.     The available investigations show that gravity drainage mechanism in fractured reservoir make a high recovery factor in comparison with other mechanisms. In recent years, the forced gravity drainage assisted by gas injection is also introduced; despite of its importance there is no comprehensive modeling study in the literature.     Gas condensate reservoirs show very complex behavior as wellbore pressure falls below the reservoir fluid dew point pressure and consequently liquid phase appears near the wellbore. Since pressure drawdown is the largest near the wellbore, therefore, this region is the first that experience the liquid dropouts. With continuing the production, reservoir pressures at the other parts of the reservoir fall below the dew point pressure and as a result, condensate appears at these regions.
