    Fluid flow modeling in porous media has many applications in waste treatment, hydrology and petroleum engineering. In any geological model, flow behavior is controlled by multiple properties. These properties must be known in advance of common flow simulations. When uncertainties are present, deterministic modeling often produces poor results. Percolation and Random Walk (RW) methods have recently been used in flow modeling. Their stochastic basis is useful in dealing with uncertainty problems.     Abstract
    In this article, a genetic algorithm is used to optimize the separator pressures in a multistage crude oil and multistage gas condensate production unit with four and three separators respectively. This leads to the generation of more accurate results for the quality and quantity of oil remaining in the stock tank for both crude oil and gas condensate production units. Genetic-based optimized pressures for crude oil separators resulted in 1.8% and 2% enhancement in oil remaining in the stock tank for summer and winter respectively. API gravity of the stock tank oil was improved 2.4% in summer and 2.2% in winter. For the gas condensate production unit, optimized pressures can enhance by 8.6%...

    Abstract
    In this paper some advantage of online monitoring in power transformer and the sensors that can be used for partial discharge detection are described. Several detected PD in one power transformer and one distribution transformer are depicted. Matlabs wavelet package is employed to de-noise the recorded signals. As it appear from the captured and the denoised signals, PD signals in an aged power transformer are often enough large that can be easily detected through the noisy measured signals. By examination of the frequency spectrum of several PD signal in this paper it is obvious that this signal contain two major frequency band, one under 1 MHz and the other one between 7 to 9 MHz. © 2008...

    Abstract
    A hybrid genetic algorithm (HGA) was introduced to allocate optimum amount of gas. This method was applied to a group of wells in gas lift in the case of availability limited amount of gas. For testing the ability of the proposed HGA, the results of this work with those of previous works in a field with six wells were compared. Then for an Iranian southern west oil field with nine wells, gas allocation is performed using different amount of available gas. The results show that the introduced method (HGA) is very efficient tool in gas allocation issue
