Abstract
In this research, effects of excess air ratio and waste gate opening pressure threshold on NOx emission and performance in a turbocharged CNG SI engine are studied experimentally at 13-mode ECE-R49 test cycle. The engine power, boost ratio and charge air temperature are investigated experimentally at the cycle for different waste gate pressure thresholds. A code is developed in MATLAB environment for predicting engine performance and NOx and the results are validated with the research experiments. Abstract
Turbocharging of gasoline engines has been improved less than diesel engines due to some difficulties, especially knock phenomena. They require wider air flow range and faster response too. A computer code is developed to simulate turbocharged gasoline engine behavior. A three zone combustion model is employed. Different performance curves at speed and equivalence ratio ranges are prepared. By this code naturally aspirated and turbocharged behavior are compared. Since The concentration of ions in the battery indicates the battery's charge and, on the other hand, the sensors for measuring the concentration are expensive, observers should be used to estimate the concentrations of the ions in the battery. Combustion and NOx emissions were simulated by quasi-dimensional and ratereaction methods respectively in a turbocharged CNG engine. Mean-value turbulence modeling was carried out during compression and combustion processes to simulate combustion process better. This deposit consists of gravely sand to sandy gravel with some cobbles and is dominantly cemented by carbonaceous materials. Abstract
The effects of different nano-SiO2 contents on the rheological properties of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) solution and mechanical, thermal, structural, and piezoelectric properties of composite nanofibers were investigated. Results showed an increase in fiber diameter (∼125 to 350 nm) and ∼450% increase in tensile strength as the content of nano-SiO2 particles increased. The degree of crystallinity decreased by 19% as the nano-SiO2 content increased by 2% (w/w).
