    Abstract
Two different ternary nanocomposites, PPy/CNT/CoFe2O4 and PPy/CNT/NiFe2O4, were synthesized by in situ polymerization method. The resulting composites were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction. They were evaluated with the aim of investigating microwave absorption properties. The results showed that the value of microwave reflection decreases as that of prepared nanocomposites increases. This happens with increase in the PPy content and polymerization on the surface. © 2018 Académie des sciences

Synthesis of α-aminophosphonates in the presence of a magnetic recyclable Fe3O4@SiO2-2mimSO3H nanocatalyst

    , Article Bulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan ; Vol. 87, issue. 9 , 2014 , pp. 982-987 ; ISSN: 00092673 Shakourian-Fard, M ; Rezayan, A. H ; Kheirjou, S ; Bayat, A ; Hashemi, M. M ; Sharif University of Technology
    Abstract
A highly efficient magnetic Brønsted acid catalyst was synthesized based on immobilization of 2-methylimidazole functionalized by chlorosulfonic acid on the surface of silica-coated magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4@SiO2-2mimSO3H). The catalyst has an excellent activity and recyclable for at least 6 reaction runs and is proven to be highly effective in the synthes is of α-aminophosphonate compounds in a green way. The facile recovery of the catalyst is carried out by applying an external magnet device. It is both "green" and efficient. The catalyst was fully characterized by techniques of TEM, SEM, FT-IR, TGA, and elemental analysis (CHNS)

Synthesis of a new class of tetronic acid derivatives: A one-pot three-component condensation reaction between isoquinoline or pyridine and dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylate with tetronic acid

    Abstract
Reaction of the zwitterions generated from isoquinoline or pyridine and dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylate with tetronic acid leads to 1,2- dihydroisoquinoline or 1,2-dihydropyridine tetronic acid derivatives without using any catalyst or activation at room temperature

A new and facile synthesis of thieno[2,3-b]indole derivatives via condensation of isocyanide and indolin-2-thiones

    , Article Synlett ; Issue 7 , 2009 , Pages 1047-1050 ; 09365214 (ISSN) Matloubi Moghaddam, F ; Saeidian, H ; Mirjafary, Z ; Taheri, S ; Kheirjou, S ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
A new one-pot synthesis of thieno[2,3-b]indole ring systems is described. Condensation of cyclohexyl isocyanide with indolin-2-thiones yielded 3-cyclohexyaminomethylene-indolin-2-thiones, which upon reaction with α-halocarbonyl compounds produced the title compounds. © Georg Thieme Verlag Stuttgart

    Abstract
Molecular imaging (MI) can provide not only structural images utilizing temporal imaging techniques, but also functional and molecular data using a variety of newly developed imaging techniques. Nanotechnology’s application in MI has commanded a lot of attention in recent decades, and it has provided tremendous potential for imaging living subjects. In this study, D-glucosamine conjugated functionalized magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe3O4-PEG-DG NPs) were prepared and studied as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agents. To evaluate their distribution, single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) is performed. Fe3O4 NPs are made using a well-known co-precipitation process...

    Abstract
In this study, magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) were synthesized via co-precipitation method. To enhance the biocompatibility and colloidal stability of the synthesized nanoparticles, they were modified with carboxyl functionalized PEG via dopamine (DPA) linker. Both modified and unmodified Fe3O4 nanoparticles exhibited super paramagnetic behavior (particle size below 20 nm). The saturation magnetization (Ms) of PEGdiacid-modified Fe3O4 was 45 emu/g, which was less than the unmodified Fe3O4 nanoparticles (70 emu/g). This difference indicated that PEGdiacid polymer was immobilized on the surface of Fe3O4 nanoparticles successfully. To evaluate the efficiency of the resulting nanoparticles as...
