    Abstract
Today, due to the decreasing of fossil fuel reserves and the need to use clean fuels, hydrogen is a suitable alternative, and hydrogen production has received considerable attention. One of the best methods of hydrogen production is water splitting. Overall water splitting can be divided into two half reactions including the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER), which selecting the appropriate electrocatalyst for these half reactions plays an important role. The four-electron transfer process in OER leads to slow kinetics of the reaction and a large overpotential. The noble metal-based oxides, including IrO2 and RuO2, are known as outstanding OER...

Catalytic activities of the prepared photocatalysts were correlated with the particle size and dispersion of the active metal, which in turn depended on the type of carbonaceous support used, varying in the order of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) > Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) > reduced graphene oxide > activated carbon. Generally, all catalysts were highly photoresistant with less than 5% loss of activity in terms of CH₄ yield. Pt–TiO₂/multi-walled carbon nanotubes exhibited better catalytic activity compared with...

In this research, a mathematical model of reforming processes in vapor (i.e., steam reforming (SR) and liquid phase (i.e.; aqueous phase reforming (APR)) were developed. This was performed in terms of understudying effects of parameters including the reactor diameter, catalyst morphology (i.e., particle size) and mass flow rate on the glycerol conversion. Then, a superior reaction medium in terms of these variables was determined. For data...

    Abstract
Machine learning algorithms often suffer from good generalization in testing domains especially when the training (source) and test (target) domains do not have similar distributions. To address this problem, several domain adaptation techniques have been proposed to improve the performance of the learning algorithms when they face accuracy degradation caused by the domain shift problem. In this paper, we focus on the non-homogeneous distributed target domains and propose a new latent subdomain discovery model to divide the target domain into subdomains while adapting them. It is expected that applying adaptation on subdomains increase the rate of detection in comparing with the situation...

Both characteristic (XRD, BET, H2-TPR, CO-chemisorption, TEM and XPS) and reactivity measurements were used to investigate the activity of the catalysts. Results indicated that reactivity depended on the Ce/Zr ratio, which in turn affected the Pt oxidation state, active metal dispersion...
