    When diameter matters: Parameterized approximation algorithms for bounded diameter minimum steiner tree problem

    Abstract
    Given a graph G with a set of terminals, two weight functions c and d defined on the edge set of G, and a bound D, a popular NP-hard problem in designing networks is to find the minimum cost Steiner tree (under function c) in G, to connect all terminals in such a way that its diameter (under function d) is bounded by D. Marathe et al. (J. Algoritm. 28(1), 142–171, 1998) proposed an (O(lnn),O(lnn)) approximation algorithm for this bicriteria problem, where n is the number of terminals.     Abstract
    Swage autofrettage process is used for internal forming and sizing of thick-walled tubes designed to withstand high internal pressures. In this process, a mandrel with a diameter slightly larger than that of the tube is pressed inside the tube and in so doing, creates the internal profile. This paper presents an experimental and numerical study of this process. Two dimensional axi-symmetric and three dimensional finite element analyses are used to investigate the effects of workpiece and mandrel geometry on the forming load and part quality.     Abstract
    We present a nonlinear geometric approach to fault detection and isolation (FDI) in a grid-connected inverter system. Open-switch faults in inverter power transistors together with faults in grid voltages and source current sensors are detected and isolated in the presence of disturbance. The detection process is based on dynamic model of an inverter, including a dc-bus capacitor and an output RL filter. The proposed FDI system does not rely on balanced or zero-sum conditions in the grid point and is functional under nonsinusoidal voltages and currents. IEEE

    Abstract
    This paper presents a nonlinear geometric approach to fault detection and isolation (FDI) in grid-connected inverters. Faults are considered in inverter switches as well as in grid voltage and source current sensors. The FDI system is not sensitive to load variations or grid transients. No assumptions on balanced, zero-sum or sinusoidal form of voltages or currents are made. The resulting residual converges to zero in no-fault condition such that no threshold adjustment is needed. Simulations demonstrate performance of the proposed FDI system in presence of unknown disturbance. © 2018 IEEE

    Biocracking mazut by native capable microorganisms and practically modeling it is one of the new perfect fields of biotechnology in petroleum manufacture. Sampling soil and water sources polluted by petroleum compounds, has caused a new bacterial strain of Enterobacter cloacae (BBRC 10061) has been identified and isolated from soil in Mashhad contaminated by petroleum wastewater and mixture to biodegrade mazut. Using mixed culture isolated from the sources instead of BBRC 10061 makes same results.     We introduce a new smooth, non-toxic, biocompatible method for cross-linking of gum tragacanth (GT), a polysaccharide of natural origin, in order to serve as a new supporting matrix for immobilization systems. The modified gum is used as a matrix for the catalysis of the conversion of benzyl penicillin to 6-aminopenicillanic acid (6-APA) by means of Escherichia coli ATCC11105 with penicillin G acylase (PGA) activity.
