    Abstract
The effects of liquid density variation at the bubble surface on the dynamics of a single acoustic cavitation bubble are numerically studied. The Gilmore model together with a comprehensive hydrochemical model is used. The evaporation and condensation of water vapor are included in the hydrochemical model. The simulation results are compared to those resulting from the widely known Keller-Miksis model, which assumes a constant liquid density at the bubble surface. The numerical results for a single argon bubble in water reveal that the pressure and the temperature inside the bubble in collapse phase significantly increase, when the non-constant liquid density is used. These differences...

    Abstract
Currently, the HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) therapy method is known as one of the most advanced surgical techniques in tumor ablation therapy. Simulation of the HIFU therapy in the case of appearance of bon barrier is essential in HIFU planning to improve the usefulness and efficiency of treatment in brain tumor cases. In this work, linear, thermoviscous equations are applied for simulation of phase correction array and steering method, after analysis of performance, these methods are used in a 3D human brain and skull model to estimate thermal ablation in case of using these methods. Results indicate that the maximum focal pressure of 1.42 and 1.65 MPa can be achieved for...

Investigating the possibility of Sonofusion in Deuterated acetone

    , Article International Journal of Hydrogen Energy ; Vol. 39, issue. 21 , July , 2014 , pp. 11328-11335 ; ISSN: 03603199 Zoghi-Foumani, N ; Sadighi-Bonabi, R ; Sharif University of Technology
    Abstract
In this article, energetic implosion of a single vapor bubble induced by a standing acoustic wave is theoretically studied and the Sonoluminescing bubble parameters involved in Sonofusion in Deuterated acetone (C3D 6O) are investigated. Parameters such as radius, wall velocity, interior temperature and pressure of the bubble influenced by various driving pressure amplitudes in Deuterated acetone at ∼0 °C are investigated. Based on the obtained results, the possibility of thermonuclear fusion inside imploding cavitation bubbles is discussed. The interior pressure of C 3D6O vapor bubbles at the collapse time is extremely high and the increase of the pressure amplitude increases the pressure...
