    Abstract
    A study was conducted to select the best alternative for the development of construction panels as well as investment in its manufacturing in Iran. Three alternatives are considered, cement-bonded wood composite product, substituted products (such as concrete panel) sandwich panel and a mixture of them. We apply the analytic network process (ANP) to achieve this goal. A hierarchy is designed to prioritize benefits, opportunities, costs and risks (BOCR) by using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) ratings approach.     This paper presents a new framework for evaluating contribution of wind farms in operational reliability level of power systems. In this regard, at first, it provides a short-term analytical model well designed to represent intermittent and uncertain nature of wind power. Combining the attained multi-state model of wind farms with the other committed generating units, operational risk of the system is evaluated.     Abstract
    An analytical study using Variational Iteration Method (VIM) is carried out in order to investigate the vibrations of electro-statically actuated double-clamped and simply-supported microbeams. Effects of applied voltage and residual axial load on the nonlinear natural frequency and deflection of the microbeams are studied. It shows that pre-compression in microbeams increases the amplitude of deflections for a specific applied voltage. Also, an increase in pre-tension motivates the microbeam to show more nonlinear behavior in an applied voltage. Predicted results are compared with the experimental data available in the literature and also with numerical results which shows a good agreement....

    This paper analytically investigates the dynamic behavior of fixed speed wind turbines (FSWTs) under wind speed fluctuations and system disturbances, and identifies the nature of transient instability and system variables involved in the instability.     A two-dimensional semi-analytical model is applied for the analysis of hydroelastic effect during vertical and oblique impacts of flexible inclined plates with different boundary conditions (BCs). Hydrodynamic pressure is calculated using Wagner's theory and the structural deformation is presented as a linear combination of dry normal modes. A longitudinal strip is used as an approximation of the longitudinal bending of a plate.     The network modeling approach is applied to provide a new insight into the onset of non-Darcy flow through porous media. The analytical solutions of one-dimensional Navier-Stokes equation in sinusoidal and conical converging/diverging throats are used to calculate the pressure drop/flow rate responses in the capillaries of the network. The analysis of flow in a single pore revealed that there are two different regions for the flow coefficient ratio as a function of the aspect ratio.     The initial and subsequent yield surfaces for architected pyramidal lattice materials are investigated analytically. Considering lattice struts as elastic-perfectly plastic thin beams subjected to both axial force and bending moment, a set of nonlinear elastic-plastic constitutive relations for a strut is proposed. Moreover, we phenomenologically present anisotropic pressure-dependent yield functions for pyramidal lattices.     In this analytical study, it has been desired to develop a practical and simple control mechanism to control, at a given point and its neighborhood, the sound arriving from a distant source, assuming that a primary pure-tone sound pressure is propagated from a relatively far distance. The control model consists of a microphone as a sensor for measuring the sound pressure and a loud speaker for applying the control force.
