Abstract
Anemia is a globally widespread condition in women and is associated with reduced economic productivity and increased mortality worldwide. Here we map annual 2000–2018 geospatial estimates of anemia prevalence in women of reproductive age (15–49 years) across 82 low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), stratify anemia by severity and aggregate results to policy-relevant administrative and national levels. Additionally, we provide subnational disparity analyses to provide a comprehensive overview of anemia prevalence inequalities within these countries and predict progress toward the World Health Organization’s Global Nutrition Target (WHO GNT) to reduce anemia by half by 2030. Abstract
In this study, a brief definition of data mining and its variants were mentioned. Then the methods and algorithms for clustering and their application in the field of healthcare is studied. Concidering the available data for anemia disease, including numeric and categorical attributes, the k-medoids clustering algorithm was selected. This algorithm is one of the simple, powerful and most widely used methods for clustering. The drawbacks of this algorithm are as follow: requires a user input on the number of clusters, depends on the initial data and traps in the local optima. Abstract
In many countries, there are traditional houses made of stone, adobe and brick, which perform relatively weakly in earthquakes. To mitigate casualties in future earthquakes, it is necessary to evaluate the current status of these buildings and propose effective methods to retrofit them. One method of evaluating the performance of buildings in earthquakes is through the use of fragility curves. Abstract
A variable air volume (VAV) air handling system can significantly reduce fan power under partial load conditions. The focus of this study is developing a modeling program to predict the potential energy saving by the secondary HVAC system strategies. Comprehensive steady-state models are established to describe the energy performance of different control strategies for secondary HVAC systems.
