    Designing gear-shift pattern for an electric vehicle to optimize energy consumption

    Abstract
    In this paper optimization of energy consumption in an electric vehicle is presented. The main idea of this optimization is based on selecting the best gear level in driving the vehicle. Two algorithms for optimization are introduced which are based on fuzzy rules and fuzzy controllers. In first algorithm, fuzzy controller simulates energy consumption in different gear levels, and chooses the optimum gear level. While in second method, fuzzy controller detects the optimum gear level by measuring the vehicle's average speed and acceleration. It is challenging to make a fair comparison among global cities due to the absence of a consistent, publicly accessible and inexpensive framework.     Controlling the safe distances between vehicles on freeways can be used to prevent many accidents. In this research, image-processing techniques have been used to develop an online system that calculates the longitudinal distances between vehicles.     Abstract
    Route choice modeling is one of the most important parts of traffic assignment problem. Recently, this model is used to describe the reactions of drivers to Traveler Information Systems in order to develop accurate Advanced Traffic Management and Information System (ATMIS). Therefore accurate model is necessary. In this paper we proposed a new model based on Type-II fuzzy logic to model route choice problem.
