Abstract
Reaction of the binucleating S-protected ligand precursors 2-(N,N-dimethylthiocarbamato)-5-methylisophthalaldehyde di-2′-hydroxy anil (I) and 2-(N,N-dimethylthiocarbamato)-5-methylisophthalaldehyde di-2′-hydroxy 5′-methyl anil (II) with nickel(II) acetate tetrahydrate in the presence of pyrazole afforded the binuclear nickel(II) complexes [LINi2(pz)] (1) and [LIINi2(pz)] (2), respectively. The complexes have been characterized by routine physicochemical studies as well as by X-ray single crystal structure analysis. In both complexes, Ni(II) ions are doubly bridged by the thiophenolic sulfur of the pentadentate Schiff base ligand and a pyrazolate group. Efficient protocols for the oxidation...

Abstract
A novel binuclear iron(III)-salicylaldazine complex has been synthesized and characterized by various techniques such as IR and UV–Vis spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. The catalytic oxidation of sulfides in the presence of the aforementioned complex was explored at room temperature using urea hydrogen peroxide (UHP) as an oxidant. Effects of different reaction conditions consisting catalyst and oxidant amount, solvent effect and reaction time on the catalytic activity and selectivity in the reaction of methylphenylsulfide oxidation has been surveyed. Perfect selectivity toward sulfoxide was achieved after 15 min in CH3CN by choice of a properly optimized reaction condition. © 2020...

Abstract
The heterobinuclear platinum(0)-gold(I) complex [(t-Bu3P)2PtAu(PPh3)] BF4, 5, was synthesized by the reaction of trinuclear cluster complex f[(PPh3)Au]3(μ-O)gBF4, 4, with one equiv of [(t-Bu3P)2Pt] at room temperature. The heterobinuclear complex 5 was characterized using multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and elemental microanalysis and was further identified by single crystal X-ray structure determination. Crystal structure of 5 shows a T-shaped geometry with an unsupported short distance Pt-Au dative bond

Abstract
Three new binucleating S-protected ligand precursors, 2-(N,N-dimethylthiocarbamato)-5-methylisophthalaldehyde di-2′-hydroxy 5′-methylanil (1b), 2-(N,N-dimethylthiocarbamato)-5-tert-butylisophthalaldehyde di-2′-hydroxyanil (2a) and 2-(N,N-dimethylthiocarbamato)-5-tert-butylisophthalaldehyde di-2′-hydroxy 5′-methylanil (2b), have been synthesized. The reaction of these ligand precursors with PdCl2 in the presence of pyrazole under Pd-mediated S-C cleavage yielded a series of binuclear palladium(II) complexes of general formula [LPd2(pz)], where pz is the exogenous bridging pyrazolyl ligand and L3- represents a series of pentadentate thiophenol-based bridging ligands originated from their...

Abstract
The binuclear cyclometalated complexes [Pt2Me 2(ppy)2(μ-dppm)], 1a, and [Pt2Me 2(bhq)2(μ-dppm)], 1b, in which ppy = 2-phenylpyridyl, bhq = benzo{h}quinoline and dppm = bis(diphenylphosphino)methane, were synthesized by the reaction of [PtMe(SMe2)(ppy)] or [PtMe(SMe 2)(bhq)] with 1/2 equiv of dppm at room temperature, respectively. Complexes 1a and 1b were fully characterized by multinuclear (1H, 31P, 13C, and 195Pt) NMR spectroscopy and were further identified by single crystal X-ray structure determination. A comparison of the intramolecular Pt-Pt and π-π interactions in complexes 1a and 1b has been made on the basis of data on crystal structures and wave functions analysis. The binuclear...
