, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Koolivand, Zeinab (Author) ; Shahrokhian, Saeed (Supervisor)
Part 1: In the first work, the electrochemical behavior of Ceftriaxone was thoroughly investigated at the surface of a glassy carbon electrode modified with nano-diamond graphite (NDG). The surface morphology and electrochemical properties of thin film modifier are characterized by Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) techniques. The prepared electrode showed a considerable improvement in the peak current of Ceftriaxone compared to either glassy carbon electrode or nanodiamond (NDs) modified glassy carbon electrode. Under the optimum conditions, the modified electrode showed a wide linear dynamic range of 0.04-10 μM with the detection limit of 10 nM for voltammetric...

A glassy carbon electrode (GCE) is modified with platinum nanoparticle (PtNPs) decorated multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT). The modified electrode is applied for the determination of ceftriaxone (CFX) in the presence of lidocaine. Different methods were used to characterize the surface morphology of the modified electrode. The electrochemical behavior of CFX was investigated at GCE, MWCNT/GCE and PtNPs/MWCNT/GCE. A factorial-based response-surface methodology was used to find out the optimum conditions with minimum number of experiments. Under the optimized conditions, oxidation peak currents increased linearly with CFX concentration in the range of 0.01-10.00 μM with a detection limit of...

Synthesis of Carbon Nanostructure-Metal Nanoparticles Composites and Investigate their Application as a Modifier in Electrochemical Mesurments

, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology Hosseininassab, Niloufar (Author) ; Shahrokhian, Saeed (Supervisor)
In the first part, metallic nanoparticles were synthesized on the different carbon nanostructers platform such as nanodiamond and graphene sheet using electrochemical and chemical methods. The prepared composite film were characterized by electron microscopy, spectroscopy and electrochemical techniques. The synthesized nanocomposite were applied as a modifier in order to prepare electrochemical sensors for determination trace amount of important pharmaceutical and biological compounds. In the first work, Nanodiamond-graphite (NDG) decorated with Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs-NDG) was synthesized with chemical method. The surface morphology and the nature of the composite were investigated. The...
