Magnetic viscosity-coercivity relation for Fe1-xCox fine particles

    , Article Physica B: Condensed Matter ; Volume 403, Issue 1 , 2008 , Pages 12-15 ; 09214526 (ISSN) Zoriasatain, S ; Sebt, S. A ; Akhavan, M ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
The variation of the applied field results in a subsequent change of magnetization with time. There is a relationship between the coercivity (Hc), as the equilibrium characteristic of the system, and its magnetic stability (1/S), as a parameter characterizing the time dependence. 1/S as a function of Hc has been measured and studied for different Fe1-xCox samples. We synthesized several samples with different values of x by applying various magnetic fields during the grains' growth, and observed a linear relationship between 1/S and Hc. © 2007 Elsevier B.V. The correlations between processing parameters and magnetic properties of an iron-resin soft magnetic composite

    , Article Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials ; Volume 305, Issue 1 , 2006 , Pages 147-151 ; 03048853 (ISSN) Hemmati, I ; Madaah Hosseini, H. R ; Kianvash, A ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
In this study, internal microstrain of an iron-resin composite produced by powder metallurgy has been calculated using the Williamson-Hall method. The effects of microstrain evolution during different processing conditions on magnetic properties such as coercive force and hysteresis loss have been investigated. The results show that there are regular and similar changes of coercivity and hysteresis loss. Both of these properties are directly dependant on the pinning effect of the internal microstrain against the movement of magnetic domain walls during magnetization process. © 2006 Elsevier B.V. Abstract
The single-domain particles, especially FeCo fine particles have many applications in magnetic information technology. We have prepared Fe 1-xCox fine particles for different x by borohydride method and measured the magnetic and structural properties of the samples. We have then determined the variations of coercivity and anisotropy energy versus x in Fe1-xCox fine particles. The obtained results have been analyzed on the basis of various magnetic anisotropies. Magnetic anisotropies affect the coercivity of the medium for each x as follows: shape and crystal anisotropies for x=0, surface and crystal anisotropies for x=1, shape, induced and crystal anisotropies for x=0.3 and 0.5, and shape...

    Abstract
In the present paper, a practical thermal treatment process has been introduced to stress relieve the iron powders in a soft magnetic composite. The composites were pressed and treated at different pressures and temperatures. Also, some of the samples were treated for various periods of time at 200°C. Density, electrical resistivity and transverse rupture strength of the samples were measured and fracture surfaces were studied by SEM. A series of tests were performed to determine the DC magnetic properties of the samples. It has been shown that there are optimum amounts of resin content and compaction pressure and temperature, rather than time is the dominant factor in stress relief of the...

    Abstract
Due to the strong magnetic anisotropy energy, the L10 FePt nanocrystals are considered as one of promising candidates for magnetic recording media with ultrahigh densities. The surfaces of Si and SiO2 wafers have been covered by FePt nanoparticles (NPs) and heated at 600 °C for 1 h to form the L10 phase. Bonding of NPs with the SiO2 surface in the presence of magnetic field during annealing process controls the L10 FePt NPs size and their uniform surface distribution. In the presence of perpendicular magnetic field to the surface, the size of NPs obtains up to 30 nm with coercivity of 5.8 kOe and in parallel magnetic field, the NPs size reaches to 45 nm with coercivity of 2.9 kOe. These...
