    Abstract
Presence of defects, conducting particles, nonconducting particles, and nitrogen gas bubbles in the insulation system of high-temperature superconducting (HTS) transformers, mainly inside the liquid nitrogen as its major insulation, can create local field enhancement and consequently partial discharges which eventually lead to the catastrophic failure of the transformer. In this paper, two-dimensional (2D) axisymmetric finite element method (FEM) modeling via COMSOL Multiphysics software has been utilized for the investigation of the impact of size and shape of conducting particles and nitrogen gas bubbles on partial discharge (PD) activities in liquid nitrogen. Conducting particles of...

Identification of free conducting particles in transformer oils using PD signals

    Abstract
Transformers are known as one of the most important equipment in power system transmission and distribution network. Safety of transformer insulation is determined mainly by its insulating oil dielectric strength. A major concern which threaten the withstand strength of a liquid insulation is the presence of particle contamination. One of the best methods to detect any abnormality and insulation weakness inside the transformer insulation is based on partial discharge (PD) measurement. Here, to identify the presence of conducting particles inside the transformer insulating oil, the general routine used for PD recognition is employed. This process involves the following steps: current signal...

    Abstract
Various urban, industrial, and agricultural pollutions discharge more than river self-purification potential damages river ecosystem and increases water treatment costs. As different decision-makers and stakeholders are involved in the water quality management in river systems, a new bankruptcy form of the game theory is used to resolve the existing conflict of interests related to waste load allocation in downstream river. The river restoration potential can allocate to the conflicting parties with respect to their claims, by using bankruptcy solution methods. In this research, dischargeable pollution loads to Karun River are determined by pollution sources in various scenarios using...
