    Abstract
In this study, decolorization of the diazo dye, Reactive Black 5 (RB5) in a Coprinus cinereus peroxidase-catalyzed reaction has been investigated. A bisubstate kinetic model for the reaction rate based on the Ping-Pong mechanism was assumed for the enzymatic decolorization. Experiments were conducted at different RB5 and hydrogen peroxide concentrations in a batch manner to estimate the intrinsic kinetic parameters. These parameters were used for the modeling of decolorization in a continuous reactor that was compared with experimental results. An acceptable agreement was observed between the model and experimental data

    Abstract
This article investigates phenol removal from an aqueous solution by using enzymatic and photocatalytic methods and the efficiency of these methods has been compared. In enzymatic and photocatalytic methods, Coprinus cinereus, peroxidase enzyme and commercial TiO2 powders (Degussa P-25) in aqueous suspension were used, respectively, in ambient temperature. The effects of different operating parameters such as duration of process, catalyst dosage or enzyme concentration, pH of the solution, initial phenol concentration and H2O2 concentration on both processes were examined. In enzymatic method, efficiency of degradation reached 100% within 5min, while in the photocatalytic method, the...

    Abstract
In the present work, an amperometric inhibition biosensor for the determination of sulfide has been fabricated by immobilizing Coprinus cinereus peroxidase (CIP) on the surface of screen printed electrode (SPE). Chitosan/acrylamide was applied for immobilization of peroxidase on the working electrode. The amperometric measurement was performed at an applied potential of -150. mV versus Ag/AgCl with a scan rate of 100. mV in the presence of hydroquinone as electron mediator and 0.1. M phosphate buffer solution of pH 6.5. The variables influencing the performance of sensor including the amount of substrate, mediator concentration and electrolyte pH were optimized. The determination of sulfide...

Review on Dye Degradability by Enzymatic Method in a Bioreactor

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Mansouri Majoumerd, Mohammad (Author) ; Kariminia, Hamid Reza (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Effective parameters on decolourization of Sumifix Black B or Reactive Black 5 (RB5) by the extracted peroxidase from Coprinus Cinereus NBRC 30628 in a bioreactor have been reviewed in this master thesis. These parameters were such as hydrogen peroxide concentration, pH of dye solution, enzymatic activity and hydraulic retention time. All of these parameters were optimized in such condition that enzyme solution was added to bioreactor at the initial time of reaction. Optimum concentration for hydrogen peroxide, pH, dye concentration, and hydraulic retention time in above mentioned condition of reactor were 96.1 mM, 8, 40 ppm, and 60 min, respectively. It is worth to note that the higher...

    Abstract
Enzymatic decolorization of the monoazo dye, acid orange 7 (AO7) by the fungal peroxidase from Coprinus cinereus NBRC 30628 is a complex system, which is greatly affected by temperature, pH, enzyme activity and the concentrations of H2O2 and dye concentration. The study of these factors and investigating the combined interactions between them by applying one-factor-at-a-time (OFAT) method and two other statistical methods including 2-factorial method and response surface methodology (RSM) were aimed in this work. Through OFAT analysis the optimized conditions were a temperature of 25 °C, pH 9.0 with H2O2 concentration of about 3.9 mM and AO7 concentration of 40 mg/l. A complete...
