    Abstract
    Order statistic (OS) CFAR processor is a powerful detector, but similar to many other CFAR detectors, suffers from clutter edge as well as interfering targets. To overcome these problems, two derivations of this detector have been developed. These are order statistic greatest of (OSGO) and order statistic smallest of (OSSO) CFAR processors. The cost, paid for this improvement, is a considerable decrease in detection probability for homogenous Weibull clutter. Furthermore, a substantial performance degradation of OSGO in interfering target (high target masking effect) and an excessive false alarm of OSSO in clutter edge, also, occur.     Abstract
    In this paper, the problem of coarse timing synchronization in orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems is investigated, and two new timing metrics with better performance are presented. The new metrics take advantage of two novel differential normalization functions that are based on the fourth-order statistics and are designed depending on the value of carrier frequency offset (CFO). The proposed timing metrics are theoretically evaluated using two different class separability criteria.     Cooperative cyclostationary spectrum sensing in cognitive radios at low SNR regimes

    Abstract
    The paper proposes efficient cooperative cyclostationary spectrum sensing schemes in which each secondary user (SU) performs single-cycle cyclostationary detection for fast and simple implementation, while collaboration between SUs in final decision on the presence or absence of the primary user (PU) is explored to improve its performance. As the SUs simultaneously measure the spectral correlation functions at different cycle frequencies (CF) and exchange their information regarding the measured results, a sufficient number of CFs are effectively examined in a short period of time because of parallel searching, which makes the proposed cooperative spectrum sensing more reliable and faster....

    Abstract
    The atmosphere effect before shower maximum is dominantly: an environment for development of Extensive Air Shower(EAS) events, but after that, the absorbtion effect of the atmosphere will be dominant. The shower maximum for about 100 TeV is near 500 gr/cm2 (∼5200m a.s.l), and most of EAS arrays in this energy range are at heights below the shower maximum height, specially for higher zenith angle EAS events, so we need to more concentration on the absorbtion effect specially in this energy range and our site.     Abstract
    Hidden Primary User problem caused by fading and shadowing severely affects the detection rate of the cognitive radio systems with a single spectrum sensor. Cooperative Spectrum Sensing has been introduced to tackle this problem by using the spatial diversity of spectrum sensors. It is shown that the use of soft decision algorithms in fusion center has a better performance than hard decision algorithms. The problem of soft decision based on sensor measurements perfectly matches the Machine Learning paradigm.     Abstract
    In this paper, we present a multi-user resource allocation framework using fragmented-spectrum synchronous OFDM-CDMA modulation over a frequency-selective fading channel. In particular, given pre-existing communications in the spectrum where the system is operating, a channel sensing and estimation method is used to obtain information of subcarrier availability.
