    Abstract
Abundant lesions caused by many factors such as bread baking process, this is due to the heavy volume of liquidity in each year is wasted. Serious approach to the problem has not been provided. Thus the direction of a group of officials is to the replacement of voluminous bread instead of traditional bread. The problem of this approach is indeed erasing and eliminates the traditional bread basket of the consumer. The voluminous bread is a westerner product and thus, over time, in your own cooking technology is quite advanced. However, traditional bread product is completely Iranian and ancient and unfortunately, for various reasons, including the cost of bread, artisans desire to capitalize...

    2013
    Abstract
The main objective of the current study is to investigate the impacts of environmental evolutions at global scale on Iran's environmental planning. Thereby, all political movements towards solving environmental issues in Iran were accurately reviewed to find out the impressibility of the events by the global environmental evolutions. The findings indicated that Iran has joined the conventions and protocols with a time lag. During the period 1948-1993, the mean time lag between holding an international convention until its approval in Iran was eleven years while from 1994 to 2007, the average lag time was shortened to four years. As the results show, attention to environmental issues was...

, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology Shafiei, Ehsanoddin (Author) ; Ghofrani, Mohammad Bagher (Supervisor) ; Saboohi, Yadollah (Supervisor)
    Abstract
In this research work an analytical instrument has been developed for assessment of energy technologies, R&D resource allocation and technology development. Development of new technologies has been considered according to the specific conditions of developing countries. The analytical instrument includes two models interlinked with each other: energy technology assessment and optimal control of innovation activities. Energy technology assessment and prioritization of new energy technologies are provided by the model of the energy supply system that contains a detailed representation of current and emerging technologies characterized in terms of their technical indices. The results of this...

An Investigation of Uncertainty’s Welfare Effects in Economy

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Setayesh Valipour, Abolfazl (Author) ; Madanizadeh, Ali (Supervisor)
    Abstract
We consider the impact of long-run uncertainty on relative GDP per Capita of an economy and show this effect is negative and significant. We show one standard deviation increase in uncertainty, decreases the economy’s GDP per Capita by 1.3%.In other words uncertainty affects the development of economies in addition to their growth rate. We show the significance of this effect in presence of human capital and physical capital. We consider the impact of uncertainty on relative productivity and show its significant negative impact. We consider the uncertainty impact on GDP per Capita’s time trend and show the effect diminishes over time.Additionally, we investigate the important channels of...

Research and Development Project Portfolio Selection

, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology Hassanzadeh, Farhad (Author) ; Modarres Yazdi, Mohammad (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Today, Research and Development (R&D) plays an underlying role in all technology-based companies. It is the R&D that creates competitive advantage and determines survival or growth of a company in the fierce market place. R&D, On the other hand, consumes invaluable resources such as capital, human resource, and laboratories which are generally very scarce. This implies that R&D decisions must be treated as huge investment decisions which are made within the strategic framework of a business. The purpose of R&D portfolio selection is to select a set of projects from a pool of candidate projects in order to maximize some financial measures subject to resource availability and technical...

Investigating and Analyzing the Use of Renewable Energies to Reduce Environmental Pollution with an Emphasis on the Automotive Industry

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Gomari, Negin (Author) ; Mostafavi, Mostafa (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Today, different cities in the world have hurried to consumers, natural resources, and producers of waste. Our cities are not excluded from this rule, especially metropolitan like Tehran, which accounted for only 12% of the country's land area, accounting for 15% of the volume of airborne contamination in the country. Considering the importance of the environmental pollution issue and the many researches done in this field, the present study attempts to investigate and analyze the application of renewable energy to reduce environmental pollution with an emphasis on the automotive industry. This is an applied research in terms of purpose. These types of researches are applicable because these...

Iran's oil development scenarios by 2025

    , Article Energy Policy ; Volume 56 , 2013 , Pages 612-622 ; 03014215 (ISSN) Abbaszadeh, P ; Maleki, A ; Alipour, M ; Maman, Y. K ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
Energy resources in Iran consist of the fourth largest oil reserves and the second largest natural gas reserves in the world. At present, due to political reasons, the investment trend does not go over well. Based on the Fifth Development Strategy, Iran needs $200 billion of investment in the country's first industry (i.e. oil), and given the objectives of the perspective document, the country needs more than $500 billion investment during the next 15 years. This paper examined Iran's energy status. Afterwards, oil future scenarios which developed by Research center of Iranian parliament, have been analyzed. Then four scenarios that express different modes of production and consumption are...

When Renewable Energy R&D and Import will Support Tackling the Climate Change? Regional Analysis for OECD Countries

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Moqadassi, Zahra (Author) ; Miremadi, Iman (Supervisor) ; Khajehpour, Hossein (Supervisor)
    Abstract
One of the actions taken to mitigate the climate change is research, development and demonstration (RD&D) investments in renewable energy technology. In addition to domestic R&D spending, the importation of foreign technologies, as a main channel of technology transfer, is another option to obtain renewable energy technologies in order to achieve climate objectives. In this study, a panel dataset of 28 OECD member countries from 2011 to 2020 is analysed, using the OLS, fixed-effects, and two-system system GMM methods, to assess the impacts of public spending on renewable energy RD&D and the import of renewable energy technologies on the energy-related CO2 emissions. To fully capture the the...
