Exact and Metaheuristic Solution of Multi-skilled Project Scheduling Problem Considering Learning and Forgetting Effects on the Performance of Project Members

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Mehmanchi, Erfan (Author) ; Shadrokh, Shahram (Supervisor)
    Abstract
The multi-mode resource-constrained project scheduling problem is one of the most complex and most widely used problems in the project scheduling knowledge area and operations research science. Recently, a new type of this problem which is called multi-skilled project scheduling problem has been introduced in the literature. The aim of MSPSP is to schedule the activities regarding the precedence relationships and multi-skilled human resource constraints in such a way that the need of each activity to a subset of skills should be met by the qualified employees. In this thesis, in addition to taking the constraints of the standard problem into account, we consider a state in which the...

Practical Analysis Of Return to Education In Iran Supply And Demand Factors

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Sefidgaran, Mahyar (Author) ; Madanizadeh, Ali (Supervisor) ; Vesal, Mohammad (Supervisor)
    Abstract
In this research supply and demand factors regarding skill premium, ratio of revenue of college to non-college workers, in years 1984 to 2012 have been investigated. Three periods 1984 to 1995, 1995 to 2005 and 2015 to 2012 can be identified. In all three periods relative supply of college workers has increased. Demand in the periods have been constant, increasing and decreasing respectively and with the effect of demand has led to decreasing, increasing and decreasing trend of skill premium in these periods respectively. Share of low skilled sectors like construction, trade and agriculture in second period declined which led to increased demand for high skilled labor .An opposite effect...

Kinematic effects of gimbal joints on a 3URU parallel manipulator

    Abstract
Gimbal transmissions are non-linear direct transmissions and can be used in robotic arms replacing the traditional revolute joints. They offer potential advantages for critical cases such as joint space and task space singularities or where a different mechanical advantage is needed compared to what traditional revolute joints provide. This can be obtained by properly adjusting the different parameters of Gimbal joints used in different joints of the manipulator (such as their offset angle and/or chamfer angle). In this paper the concept of Gimbal mechanism as a joint is investigated. Then, as an example, Gimbal joints are used to replace the basic revolute joints of a 3-UPU parallel...

    Abstract
Background: Impairments of upper limb (UL) sensory-motor functions are common in Parkinson's disease (PD). Virtual reality exercises may improve sensory-motor functions in a safe environment and can be used in tele-rehabilitation. This study aimed to investigate the effects of supervised and non-supervised UL virtual reality exercises (ULVRE) on UL sensory-motor functions in patients with idiopathic PD. Methods: In this clinical trial study, 45 patients with idiopathic PD (29 male) by mean ± SD age of 58.64 ± 8.69 years were randomly allocated to either the control group (conventional rehabilitation exercises), supervised ULVRE or non-supervised ULVRE. Interventions were 24 sessions, 3...
