Abstract
Due to rapid growth of energy consumption in recent years, extensive efforts to improve energy efficiency in production and consumption sectors have been done in order to reduce energy consumption in these sectors. The primary assumption is that improving energy efficiency has a one-to-one impact on reducing energy consumption, but in practice this is not true in all cases. In fact, by elevating energy efficiency, the cost of energy services is decreased and, thus, remained accessible income is increased.
