    Abstract
    Clustering has become an increasingly important task in modern application domains. Targeting useful and relevant information on the World Wide Web is a topical and highly complicated research area. Clustering techniques have been applied to categorize documents on web and extracting knowledge from the web. In this paper we propose novel clustering algorithms based on Harmony Search (HS) optimization method that deals with web document clustering. By modeling clustering as an optimization problem, first, we propose a pure HS based clustering algorithm that finds near global optimal clusters within a reasonable time.     Abstract
    This paper presents a technique for estimation of amplitude information from an interferometric time-domain optical coherence tomography (OCT) signal. The conventional estimation scheme is based on the in-phase and quadrate (IQ) demodulation concept. A disadvantage of this method is that the IQ components include a ripple whose frequency is the double of the interferometric signal frequency. The improved method of demodulation, presented in this paper, yields a more precise estimation of the amplitude information by fundamentally removing the ripple.     Abstract
    In this paper, the effects of different environmental parameters on power probability density function (PDF) curve and annual energy production of a wind turbine are studied. In each step one of these parameters is changed, and in each case, Wind turbine and wind speed is simulated and produced power has been calculated in every hours of one year. At last it was concluded that altitude above sea level (that affects the air density) and the k factor of weibull distribution have more important effects on wind turbine produced power than the others. © 2008 IEEE

    Abstract
    In this paper, a hierarchical routing protocol for wireless sensor networks is introduced that aims at reducing the energy imbalance among sensor nodes by integrating the distance of the nodes from the base station into clustering policies. Moreover, the proposed routing protocol does not need any centralized support from a certain node which is at odds with aiming to establish a scalable routing protocol. Mobility management is a salient feature of this protocol that guarantees reliable communications between mobile and static nodes.     The advent of various real-time multimedia applications in high-speed networks creates a need for quality of service (QoS) based multicast routing. Two important QoS constraints are the bandwidth constraint and the end-to-end delay constraint. The QoS based multicast routing problem is a known NP-complete problem that depends on (1) bounded end-to-end delay and link bandwidth along the paths from the source to each destination, and (2) minimum cost of the multicast tree.     A reasonable amount of spinning reserve is essential to satisfy system security constraints when the power system encounters a contingency. Most ofthe methods previously developed for spinning reserve assessment ignore the probabilistic aspects of system components. This paper presents the design of a market for energy and spinning reserve services.     Abstract
    This paper presents an optimal phasor measurement units (PMUs) placement algorithm for the purpose of power system observability and also increasing the performance of secondary voltage control scheme. The optimal placement problem (OPP) is formulated such that to minimize the number of PMU installations subject to full network observability and monitoring pilot buses of the system to improve secondary voltage control performance.
