    Abstract
We have compared the electrical and magnetic properties of Ru(Gd 1.5-x Pr x )Ce 0.5Sr 2Cu 2O 10-δ (Pr/Gd samples) with x = 0.0, 0.01, 0.03, 0.033, 0.035, 0.04, 0.05, 0.06, 0.1 and RuGd 1.5(Ce 0.5-x Pr x ) Sr 2 Cu 2O 10-δ (Pr/Ce samples) with x = 0.0, 0.01, 0.03, 0.05, 0.08, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2 prepared by the standard solid-state reaction technique. We obtained the XRD patterns for different samples with various x. The lattice parameters versus x for different substitutions have been obtained from Rietveld analysis. To determine how the magnetic and superconducting properties of these layered cuprate systems can be affected by Pr substitution, the resistivity, and magnetoresistivity, with H ext...

    Abstract
Ceramic-magnetic nanoparticles (CMNPs) are attracting attention due to their various applications, especially in biomedical industries. Among them, spinel ferrite CMNPs have received considerable deliberations among different spinel metal oxides due to their fascinating characteristics. Spinel ferrite CMNPs are used for enhancement of the applicability of CMNPs without affecting the intrinsic advantages of iron oxide CMNPs. Spinel ferrites with doping agents have useful electrical and magnetic properties in various fields. Moreover, the replacement of metallic atoms in ferrites is promising to manipulate physical characteristics and improve their performance. Among different spinel ferrites,...

Study of nanocrystallization in FINEMET alloy by active screen plasma nitriding

    , Article Journal of Alloys and Compounds ; Volume 491, Issue 1-2 , 2010 , Pages 487-494 ; 09258388 (ISSN) Shivaee, H. A ; Madaah Hosseini, H. R ; Memarzadeh Lotfabad, E ; Roostaie, S ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
The nanocrystallization process of amorphous Fe73.5Si13.5B9Nb3Cu 1 was investigated by active screen plasma nitriding (ASPN) treatment at temperatures ranging from 410 °C to 560 °C for 3 h in two gas mixtures of 75% N2-25% H2 and 25% N2-75% H2 at 5 mbar atmosphere. The amorphous ribbons were then annealed under vacuum at the same time and temperatures mentioned above. The structure of the samples was analyzed using various techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Microhardness measurements, electrical resistivity and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) were used to study mechanical, electrical and magnetic...
