, Article Journal of Solid State Electrochemistry ; Volume 14, Issue 4 , 2010 , Pages 681-686 ; 14328488 (ISSN) ; Gobal, F ; Raissi, H ; Moghiminia, S ; Sharif University of Technology
Abstract
Nanostructured molybdenum oxide having a particle size in the range of 30-80 nm was prepared by potentiodynamic electrodeposition method, and the effects of H2SO4 concentration on its capacitive behavior were studied by cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic discharge, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Poor to fair capacitive behaviors were witnessed depending on the electrolyte concentration and conditions of charge/discharge. Increasing acid concentration to 0.02 M had favorable effect, while beyond that, the effect was detrimental. Capacitance around 600 F g-1 was recorded in the potential range of 0 to -0.55 V vs. Ag/AgCl

Abstract
Porous network-like MnO2 thick films are successfully synthesized on a flexible stainless steel (SS) mesh using a simple and low-cost electrodeposition method followed by an electrochemical activation process. Morphology, chemical composition, and crystal structure of the prepared electrodes before and after the activation process are determined and compared by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses. The results show that the implementation of the electrochemical activation process does not change the chemical composition and crystal structure of the films, but it influences the surface morphology of the MnO2...

Abstract
The development of asymmetric supercapacitors requires the design of electrode construction and the utilization of new electroactive materials. In this regard, an effective strategy is the loading of active materials on an integrated 3D porous graphene-based substrate such as graphene foam (GF). Herein, we successfully designed and fabricated a novel ternary binder-free nanocomposite consisting of polypyrrole, Fe-Co sulfide, and reduced graphene oxide on a nickel foam electrode (PPy/FeCoS-rGO/NF) via a facile, cost-effective, and powerful electrodeposition method for application in high-performance asymmetric supercapacitors. The monolithic 3D porous graphene foam (GF) obtained by the facile...

Abstract
A simple electrodeposition method is employed to construct a thin film modifier of palladium-gold nanoparticles (Pd-AuNPs) decorated multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) on the surface of glassy carbon electrode (GCE). Morphology and property of Pd-AuNPs-MWCNT have been examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). Electrochemical performance of Pd-AuNPs-MWCNT/GCE for detection of ceftazidime (CFZ) has been investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV). This nanostructured film modified electrode effectively exhibited enhanced properties for detection of ceftazidime (CFZ). The effects of various experimental variables such as, the amount of casted MWCNT,...

Abstract
An efficient method has been developed to synthesize well-aligned multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) on a conductive Ta substrate by chemical vapor deposition. Free-standing MWCNTs arrays were functionalized through electrochemical oxidation with the formation of hydroxyl and carboxyl functional groups. Facile template-free electrochemical routes were then developed for the shape-selective synthesis of less-common Au nanostructures, including flower, sphere, dendrite, rod, sheet, and cabbage onto the aligned MWCNTs at room temperature. Especially, among all the synthesis methods for Au nanocrystals, this is the first report using electrochemical technique to synthesize wide variety...

Abstract
Herein, we have successfully fabricated NiVS/NiCuP nanostructures on Cu wire as a fiber electrode for high performance FSMSCs applications. The 3D NiCuP dendritic film was firstly deposited on Cu wire through the electrodeposition method, which not only act as a scaffold for deposition of the electroactive materials (NiV-LDH and NiV-S), but also served as a micro-porous current collector, supplied extra capacitances. Then, NiV-LDH nanosheets grown on 3D NiCuP film were obtained using a hydrothermal method. The sulfidation of NiV-LDH is carried out through an ion-exchange reaction of OH– with S2– to obtain NiVS, which maintains an ultrathin and porous structure, improves the electrical...

Abstract
In this work, a nanocomposite containing manganese dioxide (MnO2) modified reduced graphene oxide (rGO) supported bimetallic palladium-nickel (Pd-Ni) catalyst is prepared by electrodeposition method. The nanocomposite modifier film is prepared by forming a thin layer of graphene oxide (GO) via drop-casting of GO nanosheet dispersion on glassy carbon electrode (GCE), followed by electrochemical reduction of the film to provide rGO/GCE. Then, a two-step potential procedure is applied to deposit MnO2 nanoparticles on rGO/GCE. At the optimum deposition conditions, MnO2 nanoparticles with a thickness of 30-50 nm homogeneously covered the rGO surface (MnO2/rGO/GCE). Finally, the bimetallic Pd-Ni...

Abstract
The present study reports a simple electrochemical approach to the fabrication of a new nanocomposite containing PtPd nanoflowers (NFs) promoted with two-dimensional (2D) nanosheets (NSs) structure cuprous oxide (Cu2O) supported on reduced graphene oxide (rGO) (PtPd-NFs/Cu2O-NSs/rGO). Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectra, Raman spectroscopy, and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy are used for characterization of the PtPd-NPs/Cu2O-NPs/rGO. SEM images showed that vertical-standing arrays of Cu2O with an edge length up to 1 μm and thickness of about 20 nm are electrodeposited on the surface of rGO film. Also, PtPd needle-like NFs with visible and...
