    Abstract
    In the present research, iron oxide nanoparticles were synthesized through the hydrothermal method, and the influence of processing parameters such as pH of the initial coprecipitation reaction, time and temperature of hydrothermal treatment was studied. The magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles were coated with a negatively charged, thin layer of silica. The product is then coated with a layer of mesoporous silica. As a result of the electrostatic attraction between the cationic CTAB and the primary silica coating, the formation of mesoporous silica would be mainly localized on the surface of nanoparticles.     Abstract
    In the present study, bubble-driven magnesium-based micromotors were fabricated through a shading method, and the potential of magnetic guidance of magnesium-based Janus micro/nanomotors through functionalization with superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs) was investigated for the first time. SPIONs had physical electrostatic attraction with the positively charged magnesium spheres due to negative charges on their surfaces. It was also found that upon applying a field gradient, the micromotors’ velocity increased by 13% unlike other magnetically navigated spherical magnesium-based micromotors which only show a change in direction.     Abstract
    Dynamic behavior of fluid-fluid interactions can potentially affect the performance of any enhanced oil recovery (EOR) process including low salinity water flooding. In this work, dynamic interfacial tension (IFT) of crude-oil/brine system is measured in a wide range of salinity of sea water (SW), from 50-time diluted sea water (SW50D) to 2-time concentrated sea water (SW2C).     Abstract
    In the present study, the feasibility of electrospun polyethersolfone (PES) nanofibrous membrane as the solid substrate for microfluidic based immunoassays to enhance the density of immobilized antibody on the surface of membrane was assessed. Conversely, the efficacy of antibody immobilization was compared by two different strategies as 1-Ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-carbodiimide (EDC)/N-Hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) coupling chemistry and hydrophobic interaction.
