    Abstract
The thermal decomposition of manganese and cobalt-terephthalate Metal-Organic Framework precursors was utilized as a synthetic route for fabrication of Co3O4, Mn3O4 and Mn2O3 nanoparticles. The prepared metal oxide nanoparticles of Co3O4, Mn3O4 and Mn2O3 possess average size diameter of 40, 60 and 80 nm respectively. The findings demonstrate that spinel structure nanoparticles of Co3O4 and Mn3O4 exhibit efficient catalytic activity toward heterogeneous olefin epoxidation in the presence of tert-butyl hydroperoxide. Abstract
A heterogeneous nanocatalyst was prepared via covalent anchoring of dioxomolybdenum(VI) Schiff base complex on core-shell structured Fe3O4@SiO2. The properties and the nature of the surface-fixed complex have been identified by a series of characterization techniques such as SEM, EDX, XRD, TGA, FT-IR, and VSM. The synthesized hybrid material was an efficient nanocatalyst for selective oxidation of olefins to corresponding epoxides with t-BuOOH in high yields and selectivity. The catalyst could be conveniently recovered by applying an external magnetic field and reused several times without significant loss of efficiency. © 2016 Taylor and Francis

Highly efficient aerobic epoxidation of cyclic olefins in mild conditions by a novel binuclear manganese(II) complex containing N-(4-nitrophenyl)picolinamide ligand

    , Article Catalysis Communications ; Volume 65 , May , 2015 , Pages 72-75 ; 15667367 (ISSN) Bagherzadeh, M ; Ghanbarpour, A ; Khavasi, H. R ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
A novel binuclear Mn(II) complex based on a para-nitro substituted amidic ligand (N-(4-nitrophenyl)picolinamide) has been synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography. This complex shows a high degree of conversion and epoxide selectivity in Mukaiyama aerobic epoxidation reactions of cyclic olefins in mild conditions

    Abstract
The new Co(II) - carboxamide complex (1) and Co3O4 nanoparticles (2), by way of thermal decomposition of (1) have been efficiently synthesised in the environment-friendly. X-ray diffraction reveals a slightly distorted octahedral coordination of cobalt (four nitrogens and two oxygens) in (1) and regular octahedral or tetrahedral ones (oxygens only) in (2). The investigation of (1) and (2) in the Mizoroki-Heck and epoxidation of alkens reactions showed them both to be powerful, green and inexpensive catalysts. © 2020 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd

Heterogeneous SBA-15-supported oxoperoxomolybdenum(VI) complex for enhanced olefin epoxidation

    , Article Catalysis Communications ; Volume 88 , 2017 , Pages 9-12 ; 15667367 (ISSN) Zare, M ; Moradi Shoeili, Z ; Ashouri, F ; Bagherzadeh, M ; Sharif University of Technology
    Abstract
Heterogeneous nanoscale catalyst was successfully synthesized via anchoring of oxoperoxo molybdenum(VI) complex on the chloro-functionalized SBA-15. The mesoporous nanomaterials, MoO3(sal-phz)/SBA-15 (where sal-phz is salicylidene 2-picoloyl hydrazine) were identified by several characterization techniques. MoO3(sal-phz)/SBA-15 and MoO3(sal-phz) were also treated as catalysts in the olefins epoxidation reactions. Both homogenous and heterogeneous catalysts exhibit outstanding activity and selectivity for epoxide with tert-BuOOH in decane as oxidant at 95 °C. In addition, the heterogeneous nanocatalyst was chemically stable and can be efficiently reused for at least six cycles without a...
