    Abstract
In this paper, boundary control (BC) laws are designed to find a BC solution for a single-link nonlinear vertical manipulator to suppress the link’s transverse vibrations and control the rigid body nonlinear large rotating motion. The governing equations of motions and boundary conditions, which all consist of a set of PDEs and ODEs have been derived based on the Hamilton principle. It is desired to regulate large angular orientation, suppress the flexible link’s transverse vibrations and compensate the boundary disturbance simultaneously. The amount of elastic boundary vibration has remained within the constraint range. By considering novel Barrier-Integral Lyapunov functional in order to...

    Abstract
Error concealment is a useful method for improving the damaged video quality in the decoder side. In this paper, a dynamic method with low computational complexity is presented to improve the visual quality of videos when up to 50% of the frames are damaged. In the proposed method, temporal replacement and the improved outer boundary matching algorithm are used for dynamical error concealment in inter-frames of videos. With the use of motion vectors (MVs) which are close to the damaged macroblock (MB) the method can determine whether the motion in specific areas is either regular, irregular, or zero. Then, based on this knowledge, different methods are performed. It adaptively selects a set...

Analysis and modeling of building thermal response to investigate the effect of boundary conditions

    Abstract
Thermal load simulation and sensitivity analysis are performed for a building in Tehran by numerical means. A heat conduction equation of the walls, together with appropriate convection and radiation boundary conditions, is simulated numerically to compute temperature distributions in the walls. This research proposes a heat balance method, coupled with a bulk model, to calculate the building thermal load. In the first step, the results of the building thermal load for weather data of Tehran are compared and validated with those of Carrier HAP software, and a good agreement is found between them. The building thermal load depends on the boundary conditions of the building. The influence of...
