    Abstract
In the present paper, a comprehensive study on the prediction of forming limit diagrams (FLDs) for an AA3003-O aluminium alloy is developed theoretically and experimentally. For obtaining the experimental FLDs, an out-of-plane formability test was performed based on the technique proposed by Ozturk and Lee [F. Ozturk, D. Lee, J. Mater. Process. Technol. 170 (2005) 247-253]. The classical Marciniak-Kuczynski (M-K) model and some new yield criteria are utilized to simulate the necking phenomenon and calculate the limit strains theoretically. The employed yield functions are: the BBC2000, BBC2002, and BBC2003 yield criteria proposed by Banabic et al. [D. Banabic, S.D. Comsa, T. Balan, in:...

Pin Power Reconstruction Method by Nodal Core Calculation Results

    Abstract
The widespread use of nuclear energy leads to obtain detailed information, such as neutron flux distribution (power) which is very effective in designing and evaluating the reactor safety. The neutron flux (power) reconstruction method uses the homogeneous flux distribution and the heterogeneous form function in a fuel assembly to calculate the heterogeneous power in the fuel rods. Therefore, this method has been widely developed in the last two decades. This study investigates to calculate two-dimensional and two-group neutron flux (power) in the fuel rod for both quadrilateral and hexagonal geometry related to core results by using nodal method. To achieve a more complete program and join...

Acoustic scattering and radiation force function experienced by functionally graded cylindrical shells

    Abstract
A body insonified by a sound field is known to experience a steady force that is called the acoustic radiation force. In this paper, the method of wave function expansion is adopted to study the scattering and the radiation force function caused by a plane normal harmonic acoustic wave incident upon an arbitrarily thick-walled functionally graded cylindrical shell submerged in and filled with compressible ideal fluids. A laminate approximate model and the so-called state space formulation in conjunction with the classical transfer matrix (T-matrix) approach are employed to present an analytical solution based on the two-dimensional exact equations of elasticity. Two typical models,...

Cultural adaptation and validation of the persian version of the arthritis impact measurement scales 2-short form in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee

    Abstract
Purpose. To translate and validate the Persian version of the Arthritis Measurement Scales 2-Short Form (AIMS2-SF) in patients with osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee. Method. The translation and cultural adaptation of the original questionnaire was carried out in accordance with published guidelines. One hundred and fourteen consecutive Persian-speaking patients with OA of the knee were participated in this study. The Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) and visual analogue scales (VAS) for pain and joint stiffness were used to test convergent validity of the Persian AIMS2-SF. In addition, 35 randomly selected patients were asked to complete the questionnaire 3 days later for the second time....

Experimental and analytical studies on the prediction of forming limit diagrams

    Abstract
Metal forming processes are widely used in industrial productions, automobile bodies, food industries, oil refineries, and liquid and gas transmission systems. Analyzing these processes is very important to reduce wastes and optimize the processes. Study of some main factors such as physical and mechanical properties of material and its formability, die geometry, die material, lubrication and pressing speed has been the topic of many research projects. In this paper, forming limit diagrams (FLDs) for LC and ULC steels and the effect of different parameters like the work-hardening exponent, n, and the plastic strain ratio, r, on these diagrams have been evaluated and simulated using...
