    Abstract
    Epileptic seizures are generated by an abnormal synchronization of neurons. Since epileptic seizures are unforeseeable for the patients, epileptic seizures detection is an interesting issue in epileptology, that novel approaches to understand the mechanism of epileptic seizures.     Researchers in Germany and Iran have looked at methods of manufacturing wear parts using nanostructured hardmetal combined with a cheaper stainless steel component in pursuit of cost effectiveness. Nanostructured WC-10%Co-0.9%VC and 316L SS powders were used as starting materials. A polymer-wax binder composed of polyethylene copolymer-ethylene vinyl acetate, carnauba wax, paraffin and stearic acid was used to prepare the hardmetal feedstock in a laboratory kneader with z-mixing blades at a temperature of 120°C.     Abstract
    This study presents a new method for epilepsy detection based on autoregressive (AR) estimation of EEG signals. In this method, optimum order for AR model is determined by Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC) and then AR parameters of EEG signals (from EEG data set of epilepsy center of the University of Bonn, Germany) and their sub-bands (created with the help of wavelet decomposition) are extracted based on it. These parameters are used as a feature to classify the EEG signals into Healthy, Interictal (seizure free) and Ictal (during a seizure) groups using multilayer perceptron (MLP) classifier.     Accurate implementation of river interactions with subsurface water is critical in large-scale hydrologic models with a constant horizontal grid resolution when models apply kinematic wave approximation for both hillslope and river channel flow. The size of rivers can vary greatly in the model domain, and the implemented grid resolution is too coarse to accurately account for river interactions. Consequently, the flow velocity is underestimated when the width of the rivers is much narrower than the selected grid size.     A dense monitoring network is vital for the reliable assessment of PM10 in different parts of an urban area. In this study, a new idea is employed for the re-construction of the 20 shut-down PM10 monitoring stations of Berlin.     Background Oesophageal cancer is a common and often fatal cancer that has two main histological subtypes: oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma and oesophageal adenocarcinoma. Updated statistics on the incidence and mortality of oesophageal cancer, and on the disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) caused by the disease, can assist policy makers in allocating resources for prevention, treatment, and care of oesophageal cancer.     Various aspects of land use regression (LUR) models for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) were systematically reviewed. Sixteen studies were identified published between 2002 and 2017. Of these, six were conducted in Canada, five in the USA, two in Spain, and one each in Germany, Italy, and Iran. They were developed for 14 different individual VOCs or groupings: benzene; toluene; ethylbenzene; m-xylene; p-xylene; (m/p)-xylene; o-xylene; total BTEX; 1,3-butadiene; formaldehyde; n-hexane; total hydro carbons; styrene; and acrolein.
