    Abstract
Previous research has reported a connection between urban green space and public health that ultimately contributes to happiness. Existing studies have mainly investigated green space over small areas. This paper revisits this significant correlation by examining the relationship between country-level happiness and the amount of urban green space as measured systematically from satellite images. Based on 2018 and 2013 data from 30 developed countries, we found that there is a correlation between urban green space and happiness, and this relationship becomes stronger among countries with higher GDP. We also found that the relationship between happiness and green space has grown stronger over...

A novel viewpoint to the green city concept based on vegetation area changes and contributions to healthy days: a case study of Mashhad, Iran

    Abstract
One of the significant challenges in urbanization is the air pollution. This highlights the need of the green city concept with reconsideration of houses, factories, and traffic in a green viewpoint. The literature review confirms that this reconsideration for green space has a positive effect on the air quality of large cities and to reduce the air pollution. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the annual vegetation changes in the green space of Mashhad, Iran as a very populated city in the middle east to study the air pollution. To investigate the relationship between the air pollution and vegetation, the Landsat 8 satellite images for summer seasons of 2013–2019 were used to extract...

    Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that strengthen and inhibit the integration of organizational units in the university environment, specifically the integration of the "support" unit and "human resources" unit, which in this study is called "human capital"unit. In the integration literature, the integration of the two units of support and human capital has been less discussed. In particular, it seems that this issue needs more research in the academic environment with its own characteristics. This is an exploration research with the qualitative method and according to a case study of the Sharif University of Technology. To answer the research questions, several...

The application of multi-criteria (AHP-PROMETHEE) decision-making methods in selecting and prioritizing the green area irrigation resources

, Article International Journal of Environmental Science and Technology ; 2020 Safari, A ; Abbaspour, M ; Javid, A. H ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
One of the underlying factors in the conservation and development of urban green spaces is the available water resources use for green areas in each region. The primary purpose of this study is to introduce the integration of a proper simulation method for runoff along with AHP-PROMETHEE decision-making method for water resources management in urban basins. The application of this approach was investigated in the city Buin Zahra of Qazvin Province of Iran. In the first step by using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), the available water resources in the case study were weighted. In the second step, the water resources of the municipal and residential wells and water collected by...
