    Abstract
    In this paper, by employing the energy finite element analysis, the high-frequency vibrations of a stiffened plate having a cutout, subjected to random vibrations, have been analyzed, and the obtained results have been validated by use of experimental methods. By using equations for joining of structures, energy finite element analysis computer codes were developed for the coupling of beam-plate elements. Finally, a plate containing a cutout and three stiffeners was fabricated and subjected to high-frequency random vibration tests.     Permutation approach is suggested as a method to investigate financial time series in micro scales. The method is used to see how high frequency trading in recent years has affected the micro patterns which may be seen in financial time series. Tick to tick exchange rates are considered as examples. It is seen that variety of patterns evolve through time; and that the scale over which the target markets have no dominant patterns, have decreased steadily over time with the emergence of higher frequency trading

    In this study, the authors perform a complete survey on S-parameter method applications to compensate the coupling effect in circular arrays. The authors illustrate that, despite the simplicity and ease of measurements, the S-parameter algorithm has an adequate performance in comparison with the external calibration techniques in real environments.     Remaining useful life prediction of rolling element bearings with offline condition monitoring data is the purpose of this paper. A data driven algorithm based on feedforward neural network is proposed for this aim. Since, usually the number of offline measurements are not much enough, the generalized Weibull failure rated function is used for producing the auxiliary points that are employed for training.     Studies show that High frequency oscillations (HFOs) can be used as a reliable biomarker of epileptogenic zone, thus many algorithms have been proposed to detect HFOs. Among the wide variety of HFOs, fast ripples (FRs) are important transient oscillations occurring in the frequency band ranging from 250 Hz to 600 Hz.     Selecting appropriate features from the vibration condition monitoring data of ball-bearings is one of the main challenges in the application of data-driven methods for remaining useful life prediction purpose.     Ca-doped Ni–Mg–Mn spinel ferrites with compositions of Ni0·5Mg0·3Mn0.2CaxFe2-xO4 (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5) were prepared via sol-gel auto-ignition technique. TGA/DTA, FTIR, XRD, FESEM, and VSM were employed to evaluate the thermal, spectral, structural, morphological, and magnetic features of Ca-doped Ni–Mg–Mn spinel ferrites. TGA/DTA curves show the weight loss in the sample. This weight loss was attributed to the oxidation and decomposition of the sample contents at a temperature of 500 °C.     This paper discusses the design of a high frequency wide bandwidth ultrasound transducer with the center frequency of 50 MHz and an aperture diameter of 3 mm for medical ultrasonic imaging. The piezoelectric material used in this design is Lithium Niobate. The design is verified by both KLM equivalent circuit and spatial impulse response method as used in FIELD II software and the theoretical imaging resolution has been calculated as 50 um axially and 80 um laterally.     Direct near field electrospinning is used to produce very long helical polystyrene microfibers in water. The pitch length of helices can be controlled by changing the applied voltage, allowing the production of both microsprings and microchannels. Using a novel high frequency variable voltage electrospinning method we determined the helix formation speed and compared the experimental buckling frequency to theoretical expressions for viscous and elastic buckling. Finally we showed that the new method can be used to produce new periodic micro and nano structures
