    Abstract
    In this study, microstructural changes and mechanical properties during friction stir welding of AA7075-T6 have been investigated. Friction stir welding at relatively high rotational speeds ranging from 1000 to 1400 rpm and longitudinal speeds in the range of 40 to 80 mm/min have been performed and then microstructures and mechanical properties of the weldments have been studied. The results show that the rotational and longitudinal speeds have a significant effect on the microstructures as well as the mechanical behavior of the welded material while a fine grain structure is produced at higher ratio of rotational speed to longitudinal speed.     Abstract
    Friction stir welding (FSW) was used to join 3003-H18 non-heat-treatable aluminum alloy plates by adding copper powder. The copper powder was first added to the gap (0.1 and 0.2 mm) between two plates and then the FSW was performed. The specimens were joined at various rotational speeds of 800, 1000, and 1200 rpm at traveling speeds of 70 and 100 mm/min. The effects of rotational speed, second pass of FSW, and direction of second pass also were studied on copper particle distribution and formation of Al-Cu intermetallic compounds in the stir zone.     Abstract
    In this study, friction stir soldering (FSS) as an emerging joining process with the aid of a preliminary electroplating process was utilized for the first time to fabricate graphite-copper lap joints aimed at investigation of rotational speed influence on joint interface microstructure and mechanical behaviour. To do so, an Sn-37Pb solder foil was placed between a copper sheet and a copper-coated graphite substrate after which a rotating pin-free tool was plunged into the copper sheet and allowed to travel along the joint.     Abstract
    In this paper, vibration analysis of rotating laminated composite cylindrical shells using a combination of the layerwise theory and wave propagation approach is investigated. This combination enables us to study all the conventional boundary conditions in our analysis. Results obtained have been compared with those available in the literature and a good agreement has been observed. In contrast to the Equivalent Single Layer theories (ESL), the layerwise theory is constructed on the basis ofC°- continuity through the laminate thickness.
