    Abstract
The climate change and human development in lake catchments have put these habitats in drying conditions, e.g. Aral Sea in Asia, Lake Chad in Africa, Lake Mead in USA, Lake Urmia in Iran, etc. These ecosystems play an important role in social, ecological, and economic activities. Lake Urmia, recognized as an international wetland in 1973 and located in Iran, which is the second largest hypersaline lake in the world, is in the same state. Lake Urmia biologically and ecologically is one of the most interesting places in the world. This lake is a habitat for various species. The lake's surface has shrunken from 6000 km2 to 900 km2 in 2013. The statistics indicate that the population has...

Introduction of novel dispatching rules for grid scheduling algorithms

    , Article International Conference on Computer and Communication Engineering 2008, ICCCE08: Global Links for Human Development, Kuala Lumpur, 13 May 2008 through 15 May 2008 ; 2008 , Pages 1072-1078 ; 9781424416929 (ISBN) Rasooli, A ; Mirza Aghatabar, M ; Khorsandi, S ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
Grid scheduling problems are dynamic as the jobs and resources in the system vary overtime. The Rulebased scheduling algorithms are a new trend in grid scheduling which are applicable in dynamic grid environments; The arriving jobs waiting for execution is ordered according to a certain rule and they are dispatched for processing according to that order. Grid scheduling algorithms usually involve more than one objective function. In particular, it is not enough to minimize the Maximum completion time (Makespan) objective function without taking into consideration the lateness of the jobs (Tardiness). In this paper two novel dispatching rules are proposed that aims to minimize the maximum...

New approach to calculate energy on NoC

    , Article 2008 International Conference on Computer and Communication Engineering, ICCCE08: Global Links for Human Development, Kuala Lumpur, 13 May 2008 through 15 May 2008 ; 2008 , Pages 1098-1104 ; 9781424416929 (ISBN) Ghadiry, M. H ; Nadi, M ; Rahmati, D ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
Low scalability and power efficiency of the shared bus in SoCs is a motivation to use on chip networks instead of traditional buses. In this paper we have modified the Orion power model to reach an analytical model to estimate the average message energy in K-Ary n-Cubes with focus on the number of virtual channels. Afterward by using the power model and also the performance model proposed in [11] the effect of number of virtual channels on Energy-Delay product have been analyzed. In addition a cycle accurate power and performance simulator have been implemented in VHDL to verify the results. ©2008 IEEE

Failure recovery of composite semantic web services using subgraph replacement

    , Article International Conference on Computer and Communication Engineering 2008, ICCCE08: Global Links for Human Development, Kuala Lumpur, 13 May 2008 through 15 May 2008 ; 2008 , Pages 489-493 ; 9781424416929 (ISBN) Saboohi, H ; Amini, A ; Abolhassani, H ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
Web services foster functionality of current web to service oriented architecture. Nascent semantic web is capable of automating activities by annotating shared ontological semantics to documents and services. Although, a zillion web services with diversity have been made since the inception of its diffusion, it is not a panacea for software development and it is still in its infancy. A middle agent (broker) simplifies the interaction of service providers and service requester, especially in the case that an atomic web service cannot fulfill user's need. The broker composes a desired value-added service and orchestrates the execution of bundled sub-processes. It is inevitable that several...
