Due to environmental concerns and continuous decrease in the price, photovoltaic (PV) generations have been increasing in the recent years. PV units can operate in grid-connected or islanded modes. In grid-connected mode, the PV unit delivers its generated power to the grid; on the other hand, in islanded mode, it supplies the local loads.
