    Abstract
    Nowadays, hybrid LES/RANS approach is being widely used by many researchers. This approach uses the advantages of both LES and RANS approaches simultaneously. Hybrid approach is as accurate as LES, but its cost is much lower. The biggest problem of hybrid approach is transformation of data between RANS and LES regions. Before, precursor simulation and synthetic methods, such as Fourier series and synthetic eddy methods (SEM) have been used extensively to solve such problems. Precursor simulation is expensive, because of high cost of generation of data. On the other hand, Fourier series method is confined to simple geometries, while SEM has problem of programming.     Prediction of the anti-plane moduli of solids consisting of a given distribution of unidirectionally aligned elliptic multi-coated fibers with interfacial damage is the focus of this paper. The fibers and their coating layers may be in the order of nano or micro scales. All the constituent phases of the composite are supposed to be described in terms of couple stress elasticity.     Abstract
    Free vibration of laminated micro-plates with arbitrary geometry and boundary conditions consisting of several micro-layers with free sliding/frictional sliding/perfect interfaces is of interest. The inter-layer bond in the direction normal to the interfaces is perfect, and thus the corresponding displacement component is continuous across the interfaces. The mentioned in-plane interface conditions may be realized by varying the stiffness of the sliding inter-layer spring of vanishing thickness.     Abstract
    One of the most popular models that has been applied to predict the fluid velocity inside the fracture with impermeable walls is the cubic law. It highlights that the mean flux along the fracture is proportional to the cubic of fracture aperture. However, for a fractured porous medium, the normal and tangential interface conditions between the fracture and porous matrix can change the velocity profile inside the fracture.     The stress field of a multi-phase spherical/cylindrical inhomogeneity with arbitrary interface bonding conditions, subjected to both a uniform temperature change and a uniform hydrostatic tension, is presented. Imperfect bonding conditions are modeled using linear spring model and coherent interface model. In nanosize inhomogeneities, since the surface energy is not negligible with respect to the bulk energy, the effect of surface stresses is incorporated into the formulation.
