Abstract
The buckling analysis of cross-ply laminated conical shell panels with simply supported boundary conditions at all edges and subjected to axial compression is studied. The conical shell panel is a very interesting problem as it can be considered as the general case for conical shells when the subtended angle is set to 2π and also cylindrical panels and shells when the semi-vertex angle is equal to zero. Equations were derived using classical shell theory of Donnell type and solved using generalized differential quadrature method. The results are compared and validated with the known results in the literature. The effects of subtended angle, semi-vertex angle, length, thickness and radius of...

Abstract
Vibration analysis of simply supported rotating cross-ply laminated stiffened cylindrical shell is performed using an energy approach which includes variational and averaging method. The stiffeners include rings and stringers. The equations are obtained by Rayleigh-Ritz method and Sander's relations. To validate the present method, the results are compared to the results available in other literatures. A good adoption is observed in different type of results including isotropic shells, rotating laminated shells, stiffened isotropic shells and stiffened laminated shells. Then, the optimization of parameters due to shell and stiffeners is conducted by genetic algorithm (GA) method under weight...

Abstract
The scattering of an oblique plane progressive monochromatic acoustic field upon a laminated composite cylindrical shell is studied based on the three-dimensional exact equations of anisotropic elasticity. Each layer of laminated structure is made of helically filament wound (fiber reinforced) homogeneous material whose degree of anisotropy is considered as monoclinic type. An approximate laminate model along with the local transfer matrix solution is used to solve the state space governing formulation within each layer. Considering the perfect bonding between the adjacent layers, the global transfer matrix is constructed as the product of the local transfer matrices employed to solve for...

Abstract
A theoretical approach is presented to derive an explicit formula for buckling load and postbuckling path of advanced grid stiffened conical shells (stiffeners with laminated composite skins). Different types of fiber paths of grids including stringer, ring, and helical are considered. The simply supported truncated conical shell with imperfection is subjected to axial compression. Basic formulations are constructed using the classical theory of shells and von Karman type of nonlinear strain-displacement relationships. The equilibrium and compatibility equations are solved by Galerkin procedure, and an explicit relation is obtained to predict the equilibrium paths. Results for different...

Abstract
In this manuscript, the sequel of agglomeration on the vibration of fiber metal laminated (FML) cylindrical shell in the micro phase using developed couple stress theory (MCST). Hamilton's principle has been carried out for deriving the non-classical equations of motion of size-dependent thin micro cylindrical shell on the basis of Love's first approximation theory. Mori-Tanaka and extended rule of mixture are utilized to estimate the mechanical attributes of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and equivalent fiber, respectively. These four phases CNTs/fiber/polymer/metal laminated (CNTFPML) micro cylindrical shell is analyzed applying beam modal function model for several boundary limitations. Then, an...
