    BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: It is suggested that activation of the transverse abdominis muscle has a stabilizing effect on the lumbar spine by raising intra-abdominal pressure without added disc compression. However, its feedforward activity has remained a controversial issue. In addition, research regarding bilateral activation of trunk muscles during a unilateral arm movement is limited.     Objective(s): Seizure detection during online recording of electrophysiological parameters is very important in epileptic patients. In the present study, online analysis of field potential recordings was used for detecting spontaneous seizures in epileptic animals. Materials and Methods: Epilepsy was induced in rats by pilocarpine injection. During the chronic period of the pilocarpine model, local field potential (LFP) recording was run for at least 24 hr.     Background: Sudden trunk perturbations occur in various occupational and sport activities. Despite numerous measurement studies, no comprehensive modeling simulations have yet been attempted to investigate trunk biodynamics under sudden loading/unloading. Methods: Dynamic kinematics-driven approach was used to evaluate the temporal variation of trunk muscle forces, internal loads and stability before and after a sudden release of a posterior horizontal load.     Introduction: Some tinnitus subjects habituate to their tinnitus but some others do not and complain of its annoyance tremendously. Normal sensory memory and change detection processes are needed for detecting the tinnitus signal as a prediction error and habituation to tinnitus.
