    Abstract
    Here, using the probabilistic evaluation based on the Monte Carlo method, back-flashover rate and shielding failure flashover rate of 230 kV overhead transmission lines in the western regions of Iran are evaluated. To such an aim, first, the number of thunderstorm days per year is collected from the reported weather information in order to determine the ground flash density. Then, using MRU-200 equipment, the tower-footing resistance of several towers is measured. Matlab® software is used in order to produce lightning surges considering its probabilistic nature and randomly distribution on the ground to evaluate striking distance based on the geometric model.     Abstract
    In this paper, a new method for the calculation of electromagnetic fields around a transmission line subjected to a lightning strike is described and discussed. The electric fields and magnetic fields are presented graphically as a function of spatial coordinate, as a function of time and as a function of both. It is believed that this exact solution have not been published before. First, a double exponential lightning surge current is injected into a transmission line.     Abstract
    The need for a fast, light and affordable payment method, was a reason to produce multiple payment channel network on various of networks. To deploy and expand these networks, we need to deploy a profit model for new customers on the betweenness they add to network. In this research we maximum profit solutions for network with fixed payment cost and network with reduced betweenness profit for longer distances.At first, we suggest for a limited fund, we decide to make channels with most betweenness profit and prove it's a np-hard problem.     Abstract
    Strike of a lightning stroke to the high voltage terminal of a power transformer results in an impulse stress on its windings. The magnitude of the series capacitance of the windings has an important effect on the impulse voltage distribution and the stresses along the windings. Increasing the series capacitances of the windings, the impulse voltage distribution becomes more linear and the stress on the winding is reduced. So interleaved windings rather than disc windings are used in power transformer windings to increase the series capacitances.     One of the challenges a transformer designer is faced with is to correctly model the different types of transformer windings for transient study. For a precise insulation design, determination of transformer transient responses is unavoidable.     CT saturation is a phenomenon that can cause inaccurate fault current measurement and may result in related protective relay failure to block the high current flow under a fault condition in a power system. Hence, it is required to develop a method to detect occurrence of CT saturation with a good accuracy under presence of noise in a power system. In this paper, a new method having the afore-mentioned characteristics is presented.
