    Abstract
PbS on Pb thin film (Pb/PbS) was deposited on conductive glass (CG) substrate (CG/Pb/PbS) using electrochemical techniques to investigate the Schottky junction in solution. , M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Ebrahimi, Shiva (Author) ; Shahrokhian, Saeed (Supervisor)
    Abstract
At the first part of this thesis, a pyrolitic graphite electrode (PGE) modified with new coccine/multi-walled carbon nanotubes film (NC/MWCNT) was applied as a sensitive electrochemical sensor for determination and study of electrochemical behavior of tyrosine (Tyr) in aqueous solutions. The results showed that NC/MWCNT caused a remarkable increase in the peak current so the NC/MWCNT/PGE electrode surface was far more sensitive to the concentration of Tyr than the PGE surface. The determination of Tyr was investigated by linear sweep voltammetry (LSV). Experimental parameters, such as scan rate, pH and amount of the modifier used on the PGE surface were optimized by monitoring the LSV...

Investigation of Electrocatalytic Activity of Metal-based Nanocomposites in the Reaction of Carbon Dioxide Reduction

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Hatami, Homayoun (Author) ; Bastani, Darioush (Supervisor) ; Taherinia, Davood (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) from fossil fuels are a potential issue for the global climate. One way to meet this challenge is to electrochemically convert CO2 molecules to reduced carbon species such as formates, alcohols, hydrocarbons, etc., which is a difficult process due to the poor kinetics of CO2 reduction. Therefore, the use of catalysts, while preventing undesirable side reactions, can also play an important role in reducing CO2. In this study, a two-step synthesis of CuS (1, 5, 12, 24 hr) @ Cu-MOF has been reported as an advanced electrocatalyst for CO2 reduction in neutral pH environments. Bismuth has been used to improve the electrocatalytic properties of the samples. Bi-CuS...

    Abstract
The Ni-P/Zn-Ni compositionally modulated multilayer coatings CMMCs were electrodeposited from a single bath by switching the cathodic current density. The composition, surface morphology, roughness, layers growth pattern as well as the phase structure of deposits were extensively studied via SEM, EDS, AFM and XRD analysis. Effects of bath ingredients on the electrodeposition behavior were analyzed through cathodic linear sweep voltammetry. Although the concentration of Zn2+ in bath was 13 times higher than Ni2+, the Zn-Ni deposition potential was much nearer to Ni deposition potential rather than that of Zn. Addition of NaH2PO2 to the Ni deposition bath considerably raised the current...
