    Abstract
    In this paper we introduce and propose novel signaling methods and receiver structures based on advanced binary optical logic gates for fiber-optic code division multiple access (FO-CDMA) systems using all-optical signal processing. In the proposed system the users of the network are categorized into multiple classes. Users of each class transmit at the same power level but different from the levels of the other classes' users.     Abstract
    A novel two-level signaling technique in OOC-based fiber-optic CDMA systems is proposed. Users of the system are categorized into two classes. Users of class 1 and 2 transmit the optical pulses at power level P and 2P respectively. We study two kinds of receiver structure for the proposed two-level system. For the first structure we use ordinary AND logic gate and for the second one we use optical ADC with AND logic gate structure. We obtain the system performance and we show that for the two-level signaling multi-access interference is considerably suppressed. Although most biological fluids, such as blood, exhibit non-Newtonian properties, all previous studies in this field have been with Newtonian fluids.     In this paper, we present a deep insight into the behavior of optical code-division multiple-access (OCDMA) systems based on an incoherent, intensity encoding/decoding technique using a well-known class of codes, namely, optical orthogonal codes (OOCs). As opposed to parts I and II of this paper, where OOCs with cross-correlation λ = 1 were considered, we consider generalized OOCs with 1 ≤ λ ≤ w, where w is the weight of the corresponding codes.     Characterization of two-qubit perfect entanglers

    Abstract
    The problem of the characterization of perfect entanglers was investigated. Perfect entanglers have been defined as unitary operators that can generate maximally entangled states from some suitably chosen separable states. Some well defined tools have also been used to measure the entangling properties of quantum operators and two-qubit states. It was found that such tools help to analyze perfect entanglers and also have the unique property of maximally entangling a complete set of orthonormal product vectors. The results show that the qubit gates provided minimum universal gate construction and two of them were necessary and sufficient in implementation of a generic two-qubit gate

    In this paper, we present and analyze a novel all-optical multilevel multiclass optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) system, using optical analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and advanced optical logic gate elements. In such OCDMA network, users are distributed in Mdifferent classes. Furthermore, power level with which users in class j,j = 2⋯M, transmit optical pulses, is twice the power level at which users of class j - 1transmit their optical pulses.     A ratiometric fluorescent nanoprobe is developed with a wide color variation for visual determination of spermine (SP) and spermidine (SD) in meat samples. The green emission provided from the combination of yellow emissive quantum dots and blue emissive carbon dots turns into pink when SP or SD are present. The results show that the developed sensor has good linearity in the range of 0.5–10 and 0.5–80 µM for SP and SD and suitable detection limits were achieved including 0.2 and 2.1 µM for SP and SD.     In this article we present an all passive optical iterative interference cancellation method for optical CDMA. We propose the receiver structure based on advanced binary optical logic gates (ABOLGs). Since the performance bottleneck in optical communication systems is the conversion from optical to electronic domains for optical detectors, the interference cancellation has been performed in the optical domain.     A highly-linear dual-gain CMOS low-noise amplifier for X-band

    A highly linear X-band low-noise amplifier (LNA) is proposed and implemented in a standard 0.18-μm CMOS technology. The LNA features both high and low-gain operation modes. In its normal high-gain mode, the LNA shows a small-signal gain of 13.6 dB with an IIP3 of +9.5 dBm and a noise figure of 4.7 dB. The two-stage amplifier draws 90 mA from the 3.3V power supply to achieve +14.8 dBm output P1dB (+2.2 dBm input P1dB). In the low-gain mode, the gain is reduced by about 10 dB to further enhance the linearity and to accommodate very large blockers.     This paper presents an extension to PathFinder FPGA routing algorithm, which enables it to deliver FPGA designs free from risks of crosstalk attacks. Crosstalk side-channel attacks are a real threat in large designs assembled from various IPs, where some IPs are provided by trusted and some by untrusted sources.
