    Abstract
    Knowing the time of change would narrow the search to find and identify the variables disturbing a process. The knowledge of the change point can greatly aid practitioners in detecting and removing the special cause(s). Count processes with an autocorrelation structure are commonly observed in real-world applications and can often be modeled by the first-order integer-valued autoregressive (INAR) model. The most widely used marginal distribution for count processes is Poisson. In this study, change-point estimators are proposed for the parameters of correlated Poisson count processes.     Abstract
    With the increasing penetration of renewable energies as distributed generation (DG) in power systems, technical problems arise in both distribution and transmission system level. Voltage rise is the main barrier for connection of DGs in rural areas, while excessive reactive power demand from transmission system is the major concern for Transmission System Operators (TSO). Here, a centralized control scheme based on the Smart Grid is proposed to reduce the impact on the transmission system voltages and improve its stability, while mitigating the voltage rise issue in the distribution network.     Abstract
    Fluid flow behavior in a porous medium is a function of the geometry and topology of its pore space. The construction of a three dimensional pore space model of a porous medium is therefore an important first step in characterizing the medium and predicting its flow properties. A stochastic technique for reconstruction of the 3D pore structure of unstructured random porous media from a 2D thin section training image is presented.
