, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Keshavarz Haddad, Gholamreza (Supervisor)
Abstract
Average of females’ age in the first marriage was increasing in Iran, in the last two decade from 20.9 in 1991 To 22.7 in 2010. It is well accepted that labor market condition and the males’ wage structure are the main determinants of preference toward marriage among others. Making use of a provinces-wide panel data 1991 To 2010 and micro individualized data (Household income and expenditure survey) for all the provinces, this research aims to assess the role of males’ wage inequality in the marriage rate in provinces and the probit cross-section models of preferences toward marriage in Iran. In the frame work of search and match theory of marriage our findings reveal that wage inequality...

Abstract
Iran have experienced tangible demographic changes over the recent decades. Fertility rate and marriage rate have declined, but divorce rate has increased remarkably. This research intends to examine the propensity to marry and marriage age in Iran by use of Household expenditure and income survey data (2009-2012) in the framework of search and match model. Abstract
A gas turbine which output 18MW power exploded after 3h of ordinary operation and after 4,785 starts. The turbine's rotor had undergone repair after 77,000 operating hours. A piece was cut from the failed marriage bolt and tested using atomic absorption spectrometry in order to know the grade of the alloy. It was found that the marriage bolt is made from ASTM A193 B16 steel which is suitable. Hardness and microhardness measurement was also determined and showed that it was within the range of the specified hardness for ASTM A193 B16 steel. The marriage bolt's mechanical properties also meet technical specifications and showed that it contained anti-corrosion properties. Visual examination...

Abstract
Background: Wolfram syndrome (WFS) is characterized by deafness, diabetes mellitus, and diabetes insipidus along with optic atrophy. WFS has an autosomal recessive mode of inheritance and is due to variants in WFS1 and CISD2. Methods: We evaluated the underlying molecular etiology of three affected members of a consanguineous family with hearing impairment, bicuspid aortic valve, diabetes mellitus and insipidus, clinodactyly, and gastrointestinal tract abnormalities via exome sequencing approach. We correlated clinical and imaging data with the genetic findings and their associated phenotypes. Results: We identified a homozygous missense variant p.(Asn1097Lys) in CDK13, a gene previously...

Abstract
Retinoblastoma is the most frequent primary intraocular tumour in childhood. Early detection of retinoblastoma is the key to successful management with a higher chance of survival. This study aims to assess the knowledge of the general population and healthcare providers about retinoblastoma in term of presentation, risk factors, timing for diagnosis, and complications. A cross-sectional study using an online survey was conducted in three Arab countries (Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq) between 28 August and 16 September 2020. The questionnaire tool was constructed based on an extensive literature review to explore the study's aim and objectives. Logistic regression was used to identify...
