    Abstract
    In this paper, a new method is proposed to determine parameters of some types of fractional order models to represent a system dynamics using its step response. The model structure is assumed to have rational commensurateorder as α = M/N . By this assumption infinite terms of the model step response is converted into finite terms limited to N. The proposed method is practically applicable on all fractional order model structures due to the order approximation imposed by the limited precisions in available computational tools

    Abstract
    We have applied our recent approach to study the quantum-information properties of the anisotropic s=1/2 Heisenberg chain. We have investigated the underlying quantum-information properties such as the evolution of concurrence, entanglement entropy, nonanalytic behaviors, and the scaling close to the quantum critical point of the model. Both the concurrence and the entanglement entropy develop two saturated values after enough iterations of the renormalization of coupling constants. These values are associated with the two different phases, i.e., Néel and spin liquid phases.     Abstract
    Various attempts have been made to derive linearized, reduced order models of induction generators. Due to the fact that there is usually numerous number of these machines in wind power plants, these models provide great facilities in calculations, and therefore are used widely in power system transient stability studies. In this paper, some of these methods are discussed and compared and then a method known as "balanced realizations" is used to reduce the dynamic order of the machine.     In this paper, the convergence and stability conditions of extended DMC in the control of nonlinear SISO and MIMO systems are investigated. The formulations are based on the ordinary DMC in which, with successive linearization of the nonlinear model and new interpretation of disturbance, the nonlinear extension is deduced. In addition, new convergence and stability criteria are derived for SISO and MIMO systems. These criteria include convergence and stability in the case of longer control (M > 1) and prediction (P > 1) horizons, as well as the finite and infinite sampling time.     Abstract
    Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) uses multiple timers to do its work. The most important of these is the retransmission timer. In this paper, the TCP retransmission timer adjustment mechanism is approached from a system point of view and a new mechanism is proposed. A simple recursive system identification algorithm is used to capture both time variant and time invariant Internet behavior. Also a dynamic model-based Round-Trip Time (RTT) predictor was provided. Based on network simulation and real Internet data collection, it was observed that when the retransmission timer is adjusted by the proposed predictor instead of the traditional RTT estimator, performance increased significantly

    The fabrication of ITO-capped WO3 nanowires associated with their bio-sensing properties in field-effect transistor diagnostics basis as a biosensor has been reported. The bio-sensing property for manipulated nanowires elucidated that the grown nanostructures were very sensitive to protein. The ITO-capped WO3 nanowires biosensor showed an intensive bio-sensing activity against reliable protein. Polylysine strongly charged bio-molecule was applied as model system to demonstrate the implementation of materialized biosensor.     In this paper, we propose the first interrelated power and latency mathematical model for the Networks-on-Chip (NoC) architecture with mesh topology. Through an analytical approach, we show the importance of tile selection in which the hot (frequently accessed) IP core is mapped. Taking into account the effect of blocking in both power and latency models, causes the estimated values to be more accurate. Simulation results confirm the reasonable accuracy of the proposed model.     Use of infrared light for indoor wireless communications has received considerable attention recently. In this paper, we present results obtained from a large set of measurements performed at the University of Ottawa. We investigate impacts of receiver rotation and shadowing on the properties of indoor infrared channels. This paper contains a description of a measurement system developed and used throughout the experiments. Measurement results are used to find and present methods to estimate variations of channel path loss for small changes in the receiver direction, using statistical techniques.     This study aims to investigate the effects of urban design and development on Tehran's air quality in calm conditions. Known strategies such as bright roofs and facades, urban development, and modification of the building density are in the focus. The WRF model coupled with Single-Layer Urban Canopy and Building Effects Parametrization canopy schemes were used to predict weather parameters. SMOKE and CMAQ models computed the concentration of pollutants in the city.
