    A secure self-synchronized stream cipher

    Abstract
    We follow two main objectives in this article. On the one hand, we introduce a security model called LORBACPA+ for self-synchronized stream ciphers which is stronger than the blockwise LOR-IND-CPA, where we show that standard constructions as delayed CBC or similar existing self-synchronized modes of operation are not secure in this stronger model. Then, on the other hand, following contributions of Millérioux et al., we introduce a new self-synchronized stream cipher and prove its security in LORBACPA+ model. © The British Computer Society 2018.     Abstract
    In this paper, a detailed analytical model for dynamic analysis of the Brushless Doubly-Fed Machine is presented. The model is capable to predict the machine behavior under different modes of operation including: simple induction mode, cascade mode and synchronous mode, both with and without winding faults and unbalanced excitations. The proposed approach employs the basic principles of the generalized harmonic theory for calculating self inductances and mutual inductances of circuits with any distribution of conductors. Dynamic equations of modified coupled-circuit method are then solved to compute the currents flowing in the stator windings and rotor loops

    Abstract
    The paper presents the vector model of the Brushless Doubly-Fed Machine (BDFM) in the rotor flux oriented reference frame. The rotor flux oriented reference frame is well known in the standard AC machines analysis and control. Similar benefits can be sought by employing this method for the BDFM The vector model is implemented in MATLAB/SIVIULINK to simulate the BDFM dynamic performance under different operating conditions. The predictions from the vector model are compared to those from the coupled circuit model in simulation. The results are shown for the cascade mode of operation. © 2008 IEEE

    Abstract
    This paper presents a new decentralized control strategy for the islanded operation of a microgrid under unknown load conditions. In the islanded mode of operation, the microgrid should provide the load with a set of regulated balanced three-phase voltages. The load which is parametrically and topologically uncertain can also be unbalanced and/or nonlinear. Thus, the use of conventional control strategies results in the poor performance and even instability of the microgrid system.     Abstract
    The conventional theory of super regenerative systems (SRS) has been divided into distinct modes of operation and limiting assumptions. These assumptions make the analysis of these systems inaccurate for wide bandwidth applications. In this paper, a novel theory based on the analysis of time varying systems using Magnus expansion is proposed which unifies all modes of operation and formulates the system response with high accuracy for a wide range of practical applications.     Abstract
    High capacity pulse tube refrigerator (HCPTR) is a new generation of cryocoolers tailored to provide more than 250 W of cooling power at cryogenic temperatures. The most important characteristics of HCPTR when compared with other types of pulse tube refrigerators are a powerful pressure wave generator, and an accurate design. In this paper the influence of geometrical and operating parameters on the performance of a double inlet pulse tube refrigerator (DIPTR) is studied. The DIPTR is modeled applying the nodal analysis technique, using mass, momentum and energy conservation equations.     Abstract
    In this paper, a novel zero-voltage-switching topology for power factor correction bridgeless boost rectifier is proposed. By employing an improved switch cell, ZVS for all the main switches is achieved without additional current or voltage stress. The zero-current-switching is also provided for the auxiliary switch. In all modes of operation of this converter, the input current flows through only two semiconductors. Therefore, conduction loss of this converter is as low as the conventional parent converter. With these features, the efficiency of the proposed converter is very high. A 500 W prototype is designed and simulated to verify the system performance

    Abstract
    This paper proposes a design technique for the implementation of a class-EM power amplifier (PA). Class- EM mode of operation has been proposed as an improved version of class-E in terms of efficiency and power gain, provided that the current fall time of switch is an appreciable portion of a period; the frequency of operation is high enough that the switching time of transistor can no longer be considered instantaneous.     This paper presents the theoretical introduction and experimental validation of the "Class-J2 Mode Power Amplifier," which provides higher efficiency and output power compared with conventional class-J mode counterpart. This mode of operation is realized by injection of the second-harmonic current to drain node of a class-J power amplifier (PA) to reduce the 45° phase shift between drain current and voltage signals.     Abstract
    In this paper, the class-J mode of operation is investigated when sinusoidal, half-sinusoidal (HS), triangle, pulse, and reduced conduction angle voltage waveforms are shaped at the gate node of the transistor. Output power, maximum power-added efficiency (PAE), large signal gain (LSG), and load-pull contours are presented and compared for each input signal. It is shown that PAE of a class-J power amplifier (PA) is improved when an HS voltage is realized at the gate node of the transistor. This enhancement can also be observed for a pulse input with 20% duty cycle, however, at the expense of reduced output power and LSG.     This paper presents the design and implementation of a distributed class-J power amplifier (DJPA) in a 0.25-μm AlGaAs-InGaAs pHEMT technology. Class-J mode of operation is introduced in design of distributed power amplifiers (DPAs) to achieve high power added efficiencies (PAEs) over wide frequency ranges.
