    Abstract
Analcime shell-nickel ferrite core microspheres were decorated with Pd and Pt nanoparticles with the aid of an ionic liquid, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (BMIM-PF6). The samples thus prepared were characterized using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) methods. The XRD patterns confirmed the growth of a zeolitic layer on the surface of the magnetic cores. The thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) curve clearly indicated the thermal decomposition of the loaded IL, which confirmed the presence of...

    Abstract
Nickel ferrite nanoparticle is a soft magnetic material whose appealing properties as well as various technical applications have rendered it as one of the most attractive class of materials; its technical applications range from its utility as a sensor and catalyst to its utility in biomedical processes. The present paper focuses first on the synthesis of NiFe2O4 nanoparticles through co-precipitation method resulting in calcined nanoparticles that were achieved at different times and at a constant temperature (773 k). Afterward, they were dispersed in water that was mixed by chitosan. Chitosan was bonded on the surface of nanoparticles by controlling the pH of media. In order to assess the...

    Abstract
In this study nickel ferrite magnetic nanoparticles were applied as an efficient and reusable catalyst in the four-component synthesis of substituted pyrroles under neat conditions. The reaction was conducted using various amounts of catalyst at different temperatures and finally, application of 5 mol% of catalyst at 100 °C was determined as the optimum reaction condition. Results showed that nickel ferrite nanoparticles could catalyze the reaction at relatively short times (3-4 h) with high to excellent yields (70-96%). The catalyst could be recovered easily using an external magnetic field and reused nine times without any significant activity lost

The results of these reactions were considered comprehensively

Fabrication of carboxymethyl chitosan/poly(ε-caprolactone)/doxorubicin/nickel ferrite core-shell fibers for controlled release of doxorubicin against breast cancer

    Abstract
The coaxial electrospinning for producing core-shell nanofibers due to control the release profile of drug by the shell layer has been developed. N-carboxymethyl chitosan (CMC)-polyvinyl alcohol (core)/poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) (shell) nanofibers were produced via coaxial electrospinning. Doxorubicin (DOX) and nickel ferrite nanoparticles were incorporated into the nanofibers for controlled release of DOX against MCF-7 breast cancer. The minimum CMC/PCL fiber diameter was found to be 300 nm by optimizing of three variables including voltage to distance ratio (1.5–2.5 kV/cm), CMC concentration (4−6 wt.%) and PCL concentration (8−12 wt.%). The synthesized core-shell fibers were characterized...

    Abstract
Ferrite nanocrystals are an interesting material due to their rich physical properties. Here we add nonmagnetic dopants Zn and Cu to nickel ferrite nanocrystals, Ni1-xMxFe2O4 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1, M = Cu, Zn), and study how relevant properties of the samples are modified accordingly. Basically, these dopings cause a rearrangement of Fe +3 ions into the two preexisting octahedral and tetrahedral sites. In fact, this, we show, induces pertinent magnetic properties of the doped samples. In the case of the Cu-doping, the Jahn-Teller effect also emerges, which we identify through the Fourier Transform Infra-Red Spectroscopy of the samples. Moreover, we show an increase in the lattice parameters of the...

    Abstract
In this paper, CdS nanoparticles as a visible light active photocatalyst were coupled by NiFe2O4 and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) to form CdS–NiFe2O4/rGO nanocomposite by facile hydrothermal methods. The CdS–NiFe2O4/rGO nanocomposite shows enhanced photocatalytic activity for the degradation of methylene blue (MB) under visible light illumination. In addition to improved photocatalytic performance, this prepared nanocomposite shows increased photostability and is magnetically separable from the aqueous media. The degradation rate constant (kapp) of the optimized photocatalyst, i.e. CdS–NiFe2O4 (0.05)/rGO 25 wt% nanocomposite, was higher than the corresponding CdS and NiFe2O4 nanoparticles by...

    Abstract
Fe-Ni nano-particles were synthesized by mechanical alloying and subsequent low-temperature hydrogen reduction of oxide mixtures. First, single-phase nickel ferrite was mechanically synthesized for 30 h with steel balls to powder weight ratio of 20 while the milling was operated at 300 rpm. The as-milled powder was then placed in contact with hydrogen at 600 °C for 1 h. Reduction reactions resulted in production of Fe-Ni nano-particles. Phase identification, morphological and microstructural studies, chemical analysis and magnetic property determination were carried out by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transition electron microscopy (TEM), energy dispersive...
