    Abstract
    The main motivation of this study is to address the challenges due to high penetration of renewable distributed energy resources (DERs) and efficiently benefit from DERs in distribution system planning (DSP). This paper considers a decentralized enhanced platform for DSP which is coordinated with bulk power system planning (PSP) to keep the optimality and security of the whole power system. In the proposed coordinated approach, distribution system operators (DSOs) plan and operate DERs to upgrade their local distribution areas (LDAs), supply forecasting local load growth, and avoid or defer costly generation and transmission expansion planning at the bulk power system.     CFD modeling of natural convection heat transfer of TIO2-water nanofluid in a cylindrical container

    Abstract
    This work focuses on numerical validation of natural convection heat transfer of TiO2-water nanofluids in a cylindrical container using COMSOL. The main aim of this study is to examine different available approaches to calculate effective thermal conductivity and compare them with experimental data available in the literature. Simulation results show that for considered mixture, average Nusselt number decreases by increasing Rayleigh number and particle volume fraction. It has been found that only one model was able to represent similar trends for given particle volume fractions, compared to experimental results

    Abstract
    In the image segmentation field, traditional techniques do not completely meet the segmentation challenges mostly posed by inherently fuzzy images. Fuzzy connectedness and fuzzy clustering are considered as two well-known techniques for introducing fuzzy concepts to the problem of image segmentation. Fuzzy connectedness-based Segmentation methods consider spatial relation of image pixels by "hanging togetherness" a notion based on intensity homogeneity. But, they do not inherently utilize feature information of image pixels.
