    Abstract
    One of the recently proposed strategies in health systems is providing services to patients at home and improving the service quality in addition to reducing the health system costs. In the real world, some services, such as biological tests or blood sampling, force the nurses to start or end his/her route from/at the laboratory instead of the depot, changing the whole optimal planning. The effect of these special service requirements and features has not been considered so far.     This work attempt to analyze the impact of changes in nurse scheduling on quality of services at emergency department of Emam Khomeini Hospital Complex. In nurse scheduling some constraints such as maximum working hours per week and unacceptable working sequences must be considered. A simulation model is developed to cover the complete flow for the patient through the emergency department. Emergency department of Emam Khomeini is simulated in order to obtain the patient average waiting time for each nurse roster. Then a genetic algorithm is integrated with the simulation model.     The social impact of robotics applied to domains such as education, religion, nursing, and therapy across the world depends on the level of technology as well as the culture in which it is used. By studying how robots are used in Iran, a technologically-savvy country with a long history and a rich culture, we explore their possible impact on interrelated areas of religious and ethical features in education in an Islamic society.     Abstract
    A robust motion controller based on backstepping technique for a robotic nurse unit to assist paraplegic patients is addressed in this paper. A backstepping controller is proposed for tracking a desired trajectory in hospital environment. Simulation results are provided to validate the proposed controller.     Here, we explain an algorithm, recently introduced in the literature, for the personalized nurse scheduling problem. In this algorithm the authors focus on the deterministic counterpart of the specific problem that has been described in the second international nurse rostering competition. One specificity of this version is that most constraints are soft, meaning that they can be violated at the price of a penalty.     Abstract
    In the present work, we investigated the characteristics of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and metal(loid)s in indoor/outdoor PM10, PM2.5, and PM1 in a retirement home and a school dormitory in Tehran from May 2012 to May 2013. The results indicated that the annual levels of indoor and outdoor PM10 and PM2.5 were much higher than the guidelines issued by the World Health Organization (WHO). The most abundant detected metal(loid)s in PM were Si, Fe, Zn, Al, and Pb. We found higher percentages of metal(loid)s in smaller size fractions of PM.
